Spurs never should have let him get away in the first place.

You're welcome to make a run at him but he's no longer on the cheap anymore. He's going to cost anyone who wants him.

We should've kept him when we drafted him, but we didn't and I don't want him anymore. Bring on Tiago Splitter.

In an alternate universe, where everything is possible, will you trade Splitter for Scola right now?

Really? This is really from my ignorance - I haven't watched much of Splitter except for the youtube videos. So you think this even with Scola's (NBA) experience, not too bad showing last year (including semi-finals against the Lakers)? Will Splitters skills translate quickly to the NBA? Thanks for the insight Bruno.

The reason why Splitter is much better than Scola is on the defensive end: Scola is below average in that area while Splitter is really good.

SA blew it giving him away - no news there.
I would not swap Splitter for Scola because of the age difference.

Also, Splitter has the size to deal with PFs or Centers. Scola can struggle at the defensive end at times.

Too bad we couldn't have them both now since they are best friends I think with their time at Tau Ceramica.

I have always said the team should not have traded Scola.. that is quite obvious considering the alternative the team was forced to live through (Bonner and McDyess). But its so easy when analyszing a player from another team to only look at the positives he brings, or only the things that can help your team, which automatically makes that player over rated. Scola is a really good player and >>>> Dyess or Bonner, but nobody takes into consideration his shortcomings, which is the case with alot of players around the league. Except for the ones that are given a reputation early on and the almost every fan runs with it (Dirk not playing defense, Jefferson being horrible defensively).

If Scola had spent the last two years on the Spurs he wouldnt be rated nearly as highly as he is now.. IMO anyway.

Nobody would talk about him being 6'9" with short arms and below average athletically, or that he doesnt provide any sort of defensive prescence or shotblocking/shot altering quali es, or that he routinely gets burned by the same players that consistently burn the Spurs (your David West's and Amare Stoudemire's). People only talk about the rebounding and scoring and toughness.. which are all good quali es dont get me wrong.

Just the way i see it. Still love to have him on the team.
