    well, a good ref doesn't just card anyone, and to be honest a yellow isn't just a warning. In most cases, when a yellow is awarded its because that player has fouled hard once or twice before, with the ref giving warnings each time. Ofcourse, a lot of the time the ref's aren't that good, and yellow cards end up flying every which way. Its one of those things in football.

    A red card can be awarded immediately after a bad foul or as a result of two yellows, and although it is pretty much reserved for the worst offenses, again, it all depends on how good the ref is. A lot of times a player will get a red card he didn't deserve. So yes, it can be a lil steep at times

    The defender missed off the cross bar. I hate that it has to go to penalties, but Paraguay didn't miss or even come close although the Japanese keeper got a finger on that one.
