Has Torres done much? I've not really noticed him.

Portugal hanging back and waiting to land the sucker punch on the counter. Despite Spain's possession advantage, Portugal have had the better chances.

It looks like Spain will find it difficult to score, barring a Portugal mistake. OTOH, with Casillas in goal, Portugal will fancy their chances off a set piece or counter attack.

Portugal should be up 1-0 right now. Spain's going to have to do better in the box. I can't remember who it was but he had the defender turned around with his back to him in the box and HE PASSED IT BACK OUT - I was like WTF??!?!

We're playing with fire, been caught a bit behind the play a couple of times but recovered. The quality is on display, every small mistake is turning into a decent run but the finishes haven't come.

I was hoping for an early 1-0 lead to make Portugal press then stick another one or two in their backs, but looks like it's going to be a battle.

Not since the 10th minute. He had a pass sweet in the box late but didn't position himself for the one touch into the net and lost possession on the touch.

This is going Portugal's way so far. They don't give Spain any room whatsoever and look rock solid on the defensive end.
Maybe Spain should try to increase the pace of the game, although it's easier said than done, of course.

Well, as Spurs fans, we should somehow be enjoying this display of great defense.

I'm still rooting for Spain, though.

Precisely why I have done my homework and left Villa on the bench this round even though he's been my top scorer for every round but the first.

The Spanish have been on their backs more than a $10 hooker. With that much skill, dunno why they need to flop every now and then.

    This game sucks
agree...I thought Japan-Paraguay was bad, but they at least can say, that they have nor Ronaldo, Xavi, Torres and so on on their teams.

a penalty shootout might recompense us again!

Who would be your 5 shooters for each team?

I'll start by giving one each...someone else adding 1 apiece and so on

    Spain: Iniesta
    Portugal: Ronaldo
