I think thats one of those: you see offense rather than defense things...Sneijder is great, but Schweini is running more than anyone else and he holds the team together...its hard to compare these two and I like to have a defensive midfielder...Özil/Sneijder would be the better comparison!

I disagree. I've seen all of holland's and all of germany's matches, and there's no way I'd pick him over Sneijder. He looks slow out there at times, possibly because of his lurking injury, and of course he has made good plays, but so has Sneijder, and to a greater extent. Both have been solid defensively. Sneijder has been a better playmaker and a better finisher. It's no question imo, liking a defensive midfield or not

with messi and the other guys I'd just prefer to have another defensive minded guy and snejder is no match for schweini in that regard...but you could talk me into switching özil for snejder
