No way it goes north of the border or even very close to it. Watching wobbles is worthless; Hurricane motion is set over hours not single frames.
It's not the rain that actually falls in Rockport that is the problem. It's the runoff from the creeks/streams. It's been raining down there all day.

We should be getting our first band of rain here in an hour or two.
do you have any suggestions ?
This isn't a wobble. This is the pressure ridge they have been predicting finally starting to effect the hurricane. It's turned almost due West in the last 1 1/2 hours.
1) Take a lot of beer.
2) Sharky's
Hang out at the Pickled Pelican...there's always dirty s that come into that bar.
Yes, its heading west. Thats why there's no shot of it even approaching Brownsville. If Brownsville even sees winds above 45mph (not gusts - winds) I would be very surprised.
20" of rain will be their problem.
well thats a given but what can i do to overcome the frshwater dump. i'll be fishing no matter what.
You will probably still be able to catch redfish and/or drum. Water will probably be murky if they get the rain they are expecting. You might want to cast net some mullet and use cut bait.
Pretty much. Radar estimates in some spots are around 11 inches.
that'll work, do i need to fish deeper than usual?
naaaa...they should still be fairly shallow on the high tide and work your drains on a falling tide.
First band coming into SA now...
Ohh yes a hurricane thread
Summertime bread and butter
I heard there will be motorists travelling on the 4th and a flu shot shortage when flu season comes too
Death, taxes, & summertime hurricane threads
Got rain!
Already got 2" at the ranch. Perfect timing! my milo and peredovic sunflowers for dove season will be set for moisture and the 10 acres we sprigged in coastal last spring will get a solid cover before fall. It was really starting to get dry.
It's been raining nonstop for awhile now.. Rain has been on/off all day. Nothing too serious yet. Flooding in some areas, but really not too bad. There's still time though. Been under tornado warnings for much of the afternoon.
