You want to buy something, they (this case time warner) will have someone on the phone with you immediately. You want to get rid of a service, your ass will be waiting. I was on hold for 22 minutes. I got tired of waiting and called back. I hit the upgrade button this time. Bam! Instant voice. I told him what I wanted to do and he transfered me to the downgrade department where I have now been on hold 8 minutes and countiung. I am trying to get rid of my movie channels for the summer.
True. I have noticed recently that when I'm on hold, a lot of places will ask if I'll take a customer satisfaction survey after the call. If I answer yes, suddenly I get connected. So now I say yes every time and just hang up when I'm done without taking the survey.
yup. Same thing happened with AT&T u-verse.
The guy I was on the phone with said I will have to transfer and speak to a another manager because I was dropping a service (which took about 10 minutes of answering questions).....

Yep. Same thing happened to me when I called Fleshlight about their signature product. I was on hold for a good 20 min. before someone came on the phone to speak with me.

22 minutes is nothing... I was on hold with TWC for over 90 minutes in 07 when I cancelled...
Dealing with my sisters stuff has been a real pain in the ass. Iv'e probably been on hold for a thousand minutes in the last 2 months. The worst part is I will get through the damn phone trees, punch all the buttons, etc. and finally get on hold for a person and while i'm waiting I will get a call on another line from a customer and and I will have to hang up. Then start all over again. ! Plus, I will get these letters "Call this number to discuss your debt" and I will call it. 30 minutes later I finally get a live person on the phone, tell them my sister is dead, and they tell me "you have to call this OTHER number". I'm like THAT. I don't HAVE to do ANYTHING. YOU call THEM and tell them to call ME when they are ready to talk...

Best to just go inside a Time Warner building. Most of the time there's only 2 or 3 people waiting in line from my experiences.

I called Directv the other day to get rid of Stars\Showtime and ended up with Stars,Showtime,HBO,Cinemax, and early bird Sunday ticket.....you guys are doing it better than me.
As far as going to the actual TW store to conduct your business, that's a huuuge pain in the ass too. I was there twice in the month of June. The first problem is that they have moved to a new location, but their website still lists the old address. Secondly, they used to work pretty much like a bank, where you stand in line for the next available window. But now they have it set up more like a cell phone store where you walk in and are greeted by 4 smiling faces and one of them writes your name on a clipboard and tells you to take a seat. On one side there are 3 glassed in offices, of course only one is occupied, and that person sits behind the desk and counsels one customer for hours. Then on the other side there is a row of 4 or 5 windows with of course only 2 people back there. When they are finished they have no way to communicate with the clipboard person at the front door, to let them know to call the next customer. So they just sit there patiently gazing on the sea of customers, until I stand up and tell the front door smilers "Hey! Those guys are just sitting there!" then they call up 2 more customers. Happened the exact same way both times I was there.
I should have known how it was going to be the first time I approached the door and some guy pushed his way out, flipping off the door smilers and screaming " ALL OF YOU" into the parking lot.
if it's collection and you don't owe anything send them a certified letter return receipt requested telling them that your sister is dead cease and desist all forms of communication. Only if you owe nothing though. I don't know how executor laws work though
I noticed they went to that type of set up in the Apple and TMobile stores.
It's a terrible set up.
