I know. So its 1$ for every three he gonna shot and every dunk he allows his opponent the next 5 years

Just out of curiosity, do you hate the Dbacks and Cards, or is your hate saved specifically for the suns?

This is just stupidity fodder from me, but say Amare does leave. It wouldn't open up a max contract slot, but I believe it would have given the Suns about $12-13 million in cap space. They could have gone after Dirk hoping he'd take less to join his little buddy in Phoenix. If Frye accepts, I believe the Suns won't have much money to throw at any quality players, maybe $5-6 million, which is basically MLE money.
Would have been ok for 2 or 3 years, but 5? Damn.
Spurs love tall 3 point shooters that don't rebound or play D that stink in the playoffs. Spurs should of signed Frye instead of going after Splitter.
Just the Suns.
with the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns select ________________
You're thinking like a GM. This is not a contract given out by someone thinking like a GM. Currently Gentry and Sarver are basically acting as co-GM's, and Sarver isn't about to get in Gentry's way with a decision Gentry makes. This is a coach giving a contract to a player he has fallen in love with while having no GM to weigh the salary cap implications down the road or to have an unbiased opinion on the best long term interests of the team. Fortunately it's less money, but it's just like D'antoni falling in love with the foreign s (Diaw and Barbosa) after 1 career season and giving them both contracts ridiculous because he loves foreigners.
So now Channing is saying it really will take a full maxed out MLE to sign him. 5 years 32-34 mil![]()
Channing Frye can himself.
Suns will sign him...who else ya'll gonna get?? Plus he plays the Suns style....jacking up 3's

I can't believe Frye just scoffed the Suns.
It's gonna end up working for him. He knows the guy on the other end negotiating is a coach who wants him back and has no experience as a GM. He's reaming a team that has no GM right now, is it ethical? No, but it's business.
Robert Sarver basically forfeits any power in CBA negotiations a year from now if he gives this contract out. In February he had a radical proposal of 5 years 60,000,000 being the max contract, how the does he expect people to take that seriously when he's considering s ing out 30,000,000 for Channing in Frye?
Actually he is doing us a huge favor by pricing himself out of our range.
Just got a little easier for the lakers to get that 3-peat!
On another note, I applaud your witty, deep and meaningful contribution to this thread.
You are a god damn moron if you thought Channing Frye's destination was going to have any impact on the Lakers championship chances for next year.

yeah, Frye played SO well against the Lakers! The Suns woulda gotten swept without him!
Don't be too hard on him, N, I didn't say it, but, I did think it.
tee, hee.
This deal would be a no brainer if all 81 games were against SA. That jerkoff couldn't miss a shot against us.
What meager success my team has had over the last six years is all slipping away. I can see it bleeding off with every word our short sighted foolish owner lets loose. Forgive me if I am a bit tense.
God forbid the Suns be a well run team that locks Amare up before he visits Miami and New York, says thanks but no thanks to Frye, and now can focus on using their MLE to fill in holes and trading Brickbosa. Amare handed them the ability to lock him up early without adding a final year so they would be able to focus on addressing weaknesses in free agency, of course Sarver decided to throw that opportunity away so a team that currently doesn't have a GM would have its hands full when free agency starts.
Instead Sarver and Gentry just wasted a bunch of time trying to get Amare to take a 4 year deal he was never gonna agree to while ignoring a bunch of other stuff that coulda been addressed. Did Sarver ever consider it might have been smart to hire a GM before free agency started? Did either Sarver or Gentry consider maybe finding a suitor for Barbosa on draft night? It's like a bunch of in 5th graders with ADD run the Suns.
