great for la if he accepts

Source told FOXSports.com that Mike Miller has already met with the Lakers, Knicks and Heat out in L.A. Lakers offered 5 years, $30 million.
Do It Mitch!!!
He'll get more. See Johnson, Amir.
Be stupid for him to hold out for more on a worse team. When LA offers you the full MLE and you're not worth much more jump on that deal.
So Derek Fisher to play 35 mpg at PG next year?
My thoughts exactly. Miller at that price is a good deal, but I thought that the Lakers would use the MLE on a PG.
Why not? He saved Kobes ass and ring just a few weeks ago.
Miller's a great shooter, but everyone knows about his annoying attempt to be a point forward the last few years, right? All 3 of his coaches in the last two years have complained about it, and there have been a bunch of articles (I linked 3 here) talking about it.
Randy Wittman:""We have to get Mike more than four shots, there's no question about that," coach Randy Wittman said. "And Mike's got to work to get more than four shots. Sometimes you get into turning down shots to make the extra pass. Mike does all the right things. [But] at times, he has to be a little selfish, too.""

Kevin McHale:""We definitely want Mike shooting [more],"

Flip Saunders: "Asked about it, Washington coach Flip Saunders sighs. "We try to get him to shoot, and he tries to come out looking for it," he says, "but if someone's open, he passes the ball.""

Both Flip Saunders and Kevin McHale have complained about this. In LA he really needs to get back to his bread and butter and stop trying to be Larry Bird. His turnover ratio has ballooned the last two years with his attempts to be a playmaker (19.1 and 19.6).
UPDATE: on Mike Miller
Source told FOXSports.com that Lakers gave Mike Miller a deadline of tonight. Miller's camp trying to receive more time.
Miller and Pau are ex lovers. So this is great news for Sasha as they can now engage in a 3 way.
No.
Miller's time has come & gone.
You knew someone had to run to the defense of the Lakers. They were vulnerable in terms of a quality third wing, as well as more shooting and ball handling on the perimeter. He'll probably accept, so that he can play limited minutes behind Bryant and Artest and have no chance at finishing games.
Whatever happened to, the Lakers are looking to cut costs? Every time we hear that, more good luck fall in their laps. We knew Jackson would be back, now this. This would be more significant than Blake. They can get someone like Watson for cheap and still get by at PG. On that team, both system and personnel wise, the PG has to do far less than any other team in the league.
Every time they look vulnerable in an area or they might receive some bad news, the exact opposite happens. It's ridiculous.
Suicide watch
I bet someone else steps up and offers more just so the lakers do not get him
Miller, 10 years ago, yes, but, he's got a fork stuck in him, his legs are shot.
I'd much more prefer McGrady & Blake. Blake would flourish. McGrady, only at the minimum would be without risk....the reward substantial.
He's also gone on record saying he wants to play on a contender, and seriously? That's not a bad deal for him anyway.
This sort of hardball e would turn me off, however.Source told FOXSports.com that Lakers gave Mike Miller a deadline of tonight. Miller's camp trying to receive more time.
crucify em, cubby. Send that ex-florida gator ass to the tree of woe!
Miller is Tracy Murray & Mitch Richmond rolled into one.
Bad deal for the Lakers, Miller is past his prime and 5 years is a long time
I don't see this being good in any way. Millers peak was getting cut from the USA team. This is a cost cutting move and opening the door to send Lamar packing.
Sweet Jesus. How so, Cobby?
Isn't Odom making like 9 mil? Miller can fill a lot of Lamar's minutes. They off Lamar for some deal where they get a PG and an expiring? Buss was pushed into signing Lamar last year and regrets it IMO.
Make's my stomach churn & turn. Odom is a case study, but, he's turned it on two Junes in-a-row.
I genuinely thought he & Artest were a package deal and would remain together for the duration.
stop ragging on my team you ...but that is pretty funny....
