Spain played the worst out of the teams that advanced to the semifinals. They haven't dominated anyone yet

I meant to say they dominate ball possession. They're not that good defensively, but they don't give many opportunities because they dominate that stat. I don't mind going into penalties because it is entertaining(Uruguay vs Ghana was one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen). Also, not counting Uruguay, Spain, Holland, and Germany are about at the same level. I don't see either of the three teams having a clear advantage over the other at this stage. I think it's going to come down to who chokes the least out of the three.

Well i think the way Netherlands looked the first 60min against Brazil (like crap) you can give them a really though ugly game.

And if you score first and play the usual nice defense i say finals could be reached.

Man, this is really one of the best World Cups I can remember (from a German standpoint). I think that Spain will be really hard to beat. They remind me a lot of Italy in 2006. They are not really playing great but still manage to squeeze through the tournament. I think they don't look as strong as the 2008 team but I believe they will come out really motivated.

If Germany beats them as well it would be incredible. Hard to believe but still possible...

Thanks... but you know... in the last couple of years we have been so close so many times and did not make it.

I am really enjoying every moment of the tournament but it is still very very hard to believe that we can make it all the way. The team is soo young and it looks like Spain and Holland would be the last 2 opponents. The road to the final would be insane...

That said, if Germany does not make it to the final... I would cheer for Holland.

I am aware of the rivalry but I tell you one thing: I don't care about it.

The Holland fans are great and they are playing awesome soccer for years now. Everbody I know from Holland is very nice and polite.

We will see what happens and no matter what the outcome will be I am proud of that team.

Yeah, you have been close, but this time it's different I think. Because of low. He made the team so much better. As ive said in the other thread too, he changed the style and added some aspects and that is working. Beautiful football.

I hope we'll meet in the finals and yeah, me too. If we fail, ill root for Germany.

Legit question. Do historical reasons not make it seem odd for you to root for Germany? I guess everyone is different, but if i were Jewish I can't imagine myself rooting for the Germans.

I am actually part German

What happened in the 1940's doesn't mean as much to me as the rampant Antisemitism in Spain. I don't really hold it against Germany that they were dumb enough to get taken over by a bunch of nut cases, Spain just seems to be a breeding ground for racism (and they were also allies of Hitler during WWII).
