Garbage man who will be getting too old to do the dirty work. He would fit the Spurs mold, but not in all the ways we'd like.

You have to do better than this. He's not a free agent. How do you propose the Spurs acquire him?

No idea about that, i'm just explayin my opinion. I think he's a better stopper than everyone we've on our roster, and that we need a solid D player. No chance over Artest..maybe him. Just a thought in my pipe.

dude is a famed defensive specialist, the best defender stilling playing IMHO. and his style resembles Bowen's pretty much so I think he'll be a perfect signing for Spurs. Rockets are refurbishing their squad so a 31-yr old veteran is exactly what they're going to trim.

age isn't an issue at all IMHO. Bowen played at top level even at age 34, when Battier turns 34 Spurs will have already started rebuilding with Duncan being 36 or some. age never has such a big effect as supposed to be on players like Battier who bases his game on skills/mentality rather than athleticism.

impossible without a trade. Who do you want to trade from Spurs that Rockets want, or that you want the rockets to have?

Rockets do not trade him, he is great for them.

2 years from now, then they want to probably get rid of him. Right now he is perfect for them.

Okay, even if I agreed with all that. The Rockets aren't going to cut him. So propose how the Spurs trade for him. That's all I'm saying.

I threw out a thread saying we should see if we can Larry Brown to bite on a Gerald Wallace trade. He much better fits the Spurs than Shane Battier. Better defensive player too.

GW is nothing more than a younger version of RJ. He can't shoot the three to space the floor, and his best offense is on the break, which we only run as a Tony solo project.

lol. You better be prepared to watch the same Richard Jefferson in a Knick jersey this year. Might be for ya. And Wallace just made 2010 NBA 1st team All Defensive. I think he can do the things we need and would be a bit more successful here than Jefferson was. But I hope Larry Brown thinks the same way you do and would be willing to trade him.

Grant Hill would have been a great Spurs player. he stands for everything the Spurs are about. he has class and has the heart of a lion. He was injured most of his carreer and has yet to give up...he comes back and back and back again. And still has a great game at his age.
