I never said it was a shame, I'm just saying I hate him being put in the same group as them and that he doesn't deserve it. It's not like being a top 5 player is a bad thing.

By this logic Kareem gets 1 le (Because he wouldn't get any more if LA didn't get Magic), KG Pierce and Ray Allen have 0 (wouldn't get any w/o the trades to get them in Boston), and West has 0 too because Wilt was better.
Oh and James Worthy, Kevin Mchale, Byron Scott, Robert Parish, etc. don't get any rings either.

It would help his legacy and greatness...do you honestly think Bill Russel was better than Hakeem or Duncan? He wasn't but most put him higher all time due to Legacy and Greatness. Greatness and Legacy do not necessarily = better basketball player.

Players that have "LA Lakers" written under their screen name obviously can't be objective in the Kobe vs Jordan argument.
As an objective fan who doesn't have too much of a personal opinion about the two I can say Jordan is definetly a better player.
Kobe is a great great player and he might win a championship or two more before he retires but he simply isn't as good as Jordan was...

I'm going on talent and ability and I believe Kobe is slightly ahead of MJ.
