He must have some well-avant garde (wannabe) producers to keep giving him financing.
I could not get anything wrapped around The Happening or The Village.
Not really his fault, they keep throwing money at him!![]()

My wife talked me into going to see this movie..............it was awful, dreadful, nauseating, ty, crummy, garbage. I fell asleep 10 min. into the movie, and woke up towards the end where the little boy with the glowing arrow on his head made a tidal wave. Movie sucked big ass.
One thing's for sure - this was the final nail in the coffin of Shyamalan's career. Airbender was meant to be a trilogy; it'll be interesting to see whether "they" decide to make the others with a different director or just scrap the whole project. I could see this being kick-ass with a better script and director. Well, they might have to find better actors also. In this case, the viewing public would wholly support changing the entire cast![]()
Having not seeing the cartoon series, I had no idea what this movie was about, but I kept hearing negative reviews. I went to see it yesterday and I have to say that I enjoyed it. The premise itself was easy to follow. The acting was a bit shakey, but I imagine some of the actors were inexperianced. Overall, I thought it was good!
The acting was non-existent, not "a bit shakey." The dialogue sucked and the actors sucked.
It's odd saying this as an adult, but the you can't really compare the movie to the series - the cartoon is so much better. There is actually a really humorous element to the series that was completely ignored during the script-writing process; it was (IMHO) one of the biggest detractions to the movie.
