I didn't wanted to see Wall St bailed out, it was extortion.

What was YOUR alternative? What were the Repugs specific proposals?

WF, BoA, Citi, AIG, etc all going into bankruptcy, wiping out stockholders, retirement/pension plans?

The stockholders know the assumed risk, and sorry. they lost.

Buying stocks is not a guaranteed win, and never should be. Why should the banks be bailed out, and not BP?

What do you mean about wiping out retirement? If anyone is stupid enough to put most their eggs in one basket, that's their fault and not the tax payers responsibility.

"What do you mean about wiping out retirement"

lots of pension funds, aka "dumb" investors in Wall St terms, bought into the derivatives scam, many duped by the ratings agencies sticking AAA on toxic because the agencies are financed by Wall St to rate their toxic .
