I still think Lakers are the favorites. Its not about the 1-2 punch the whole season. In Games 6 and 7 you saw guys like Fisher, Artest, Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum (playing injured), and even Josh Powell help win them a championship.

Miami is going to be getting only a few solid players and a bunch of scrubs to fill out the rest of their roster. If LeBron signs, then they'll only be adding scrubs. They just won't have the money to sign other guys.

If LBJ doesn't sign there then his team would always have a chance to beat Miami in the EC playoffs. Don't forget about Boston and Orlando either, especially if they make some significant moves. If Orlando can get a pass first point guard (CP3 rumors) or a low post scorer (Boozer rumors) they will be favorites in the East.

And on the whole Kobe declining thing...like he said in the press conference after they won. He was hurt. He's not going to play over the summer either so he will have ample time to recover. Yes, the days of Kobe playing 80+ games, playing 40+ minutes, and scoring 35+ points are over but he will still give the Lakers 70 games, around 30 mpg, score around 25 points per game, and, most importantly, he'll be ready for another championship run.
