And Germany was just awful. It was unbelievable how bad they played.

Puyol is my new favorite player on the planet. The guy was so clutch all game long along with Pique and Sergio Ramos, this wasn't a German choke it was a defensive gem, textbook defensive performance to go along with excellent ball control.

That was an excellent run by the Germans in the tourney, especially given how young they are. They just weren't prepared to play against this kind of team.

Unfortunately Spain played their best game against us tonight. That was like older brother vs. younger brother.
We were just not able to play our game. Always had to react to spanish action. The played nearly perfect.
I hope that Holland wins on sunday. Not because I dislike Spain, but because I'm a big Bayernfan and I love Robben and especially van Bommel!

No. We didn't lose because we were missing Müller. I honestly don't think he would have changed the style of the game that much.
I love the guy but Spain was the better team today. By far. Plain and simple.
We just didn't seem to be able to make two consecutive passes to our teammates.
That being said, the way Spain scored was heartbreaking. After a corner? Puyol vs nobody??? If we hold the draw until extra time we win the game. Doesn't matter if Spain dominated the game.
But that just wasn't going to happen.

They won the battle in the midfield and that was the key to the game and also our biggest fear before the game. Torres on the bench was huge, damn that they found it out until the german game. And we looked kind of nervous from the start of the game. Well, 2nd youngest team of the cup, you have to live with it.
Still little bit disappointed with the shot of Kroos right before the 0:1
But Germany played a great cup, won with their entertaining football lots of fans over the world and im really looking forward to the big tournaments in the next 10 years. Future looking really good.
PS: To decline Müller access to the field after the game was completly idiotic
What pisses me off is watching the two yellow cards of Müller and then watching van Bommel fouling for 3 cards in every game...
And no, Müller is no excuse, but that cards where piss cards and they stole his SF.
Yeah, but they got an early goal, and the pressure shifted to Argentina. Same thing happened against England.
I agree that Spain's defense is better than Argentina's, but for all the fanfare of team football and what not, they couldn't create anything for any long stretch this entire game.
Van Bommel has some sort of carte blanche in this WC. He should have seen red in the last two games.
Yeah, like i said watching Müllers games and Van Bommels and van Bommel playing the SF, thats just wrong...
I told you'll Spain was going to win due to their superior midfield game. Germany looked like the Cleveland Cavaliers, blowing out everybody while having fun and doing flips, and never faced any adversity throughout the World Cup. To become a World champion, you need to face those tough defensive games that allow you to grow mentally stronger, and to fully trust your teammates and your abilities. Spain had that game against Paraguay and Holland against Brazil.
