Uhh, one of the biggest knocks on Ryan Leaf was that he didn't work very hard and didn't have a good at ude. Dude acted like a rock star at times.
Of course, he also showed improvement and was looking like he might develop into a decent QB before he screwed up his wrist. He didn't stand a chance after that, since he wrist could no longer reliable handle the throwing motion.
Leaf didn't "just suck," and Russell is definitely the bigger bust.
