The Cleveland radio guys are taking solace in the fact that the NBA will have a lockout next year and ting on the NBA's popularity in America compared to the NFL.

Lakers fans still can't say they got lucky. The only reason the Spurs didn't get Gasol was because of Jerry West. The Spurs made an offer that included Tiago Splitter (who was then 21 and expected to come next season) but West decided to give his old team the most lop sided trade since Larry Brown and Doug Moe were traded from New Orleans to Oakland for Steve Jones.
West was a year removed from his position with the Grizz. At the time of the trade the only offer the Grizz were actually considering was from the Bulls. They decided it wasn't enough and went the salary dump route. Worked out great for both teams. Get your facts straight. All parties involved have commented on the subject and West had nothing to do with the deal other than talking to Mitch and telling him that Gasol could be had and he should look into it.

It's total loss. To brazen it out extemporaneously is supercilious.

Dear Laker fans: counting 4 Minneapolis les as part of your "16 rings" is like OKC fans taking credit for the '79 Sonics.
