For being a loyal guy and trying his best to LEAD his team to thier first championship. One day, he might have to leave to chase a ring...but that'll be during his downside years. But at this point, he knows he still has what it takes...

    Respect!

Congrats, Dirk. It's better to waste even more years of your career playing on a non-contender because of loyalty.

Dude I've admired Dirk ever since I saw that episode of Punk'd where he signs every NBA apparel a kid gives him.

The guy is so nice and is such a class act.

Haha yeah son..that's a funny one...kid keeps pulling out stuff for Dirk to sign and he keeps signing it.

Not sure if you're being serious or trying to clown a but Dirk is truly a good guy and player. Props to him...a real King

The Mavs are stacked with old Mavs and ex-Suns who are past their prime. I see no way that they can actually improve now. Sure, they might get 55+ wins, but they aren't beating the Lakers and getting to the Finals.

I would not blame Dirk for leaving. I wouldn't blame Chris Paul for leaving the Hornets. Players don't owe teams anything. Management would trade almost anybody if they thought that would give them a better chance at winning. This is a business, and LeBron made a smart business decision.

Dirk is the man. The ultimate Spur killer and was half a quarter away from possibly being a top 10 all time great.
