Man...I was walking around work pissed for an hour before coming back here and reading this...and it's my 12th hour here. I'm getting too old for this .

At least I can enjoy my vacation without checking ST on my phone every hour to see if there is any Splitter news.

Splitter is getting the MLE or a sizable portion of it.

Damn you Spurs for signing Bonner. They released this news today on purpose to mask the Bonner signing with Tiago's signing. Trojan Horse style.

Kinda like the government does with earmarks in big bills that have nothing to do with the actual reason for passing it.

Splitter signed (5M?), Bonner re signed (3.2M).....

    hm....

assuming that Blair will be more than just the 5th big in the rotation, Spurs would pay a lot of money for whoever else this 5th big is.

can anyone else see a Dice trade on the horizon?
I mean, he is also the only trade asset Spurs have outside the core players, who can bring back a MLE size salary.
in case of a Dice trade, the Bonner re signing immediately makes much more sense.

that would be a huge mistake. Dice is the most consistent outside shooting bigman we got!

Well this at least counters the blow my Spurs psyche took when I found out Bonner was coming back.

Welcome aboard, Tiago! You've got some pretty high expectations.

I don't see a destination for an older Dice.

I hope they have a lot more planned than that. Bringing in a 38 year old has-been with health issues and bringing back a failed experiment with RJ - we KNOW he doesn't work here - is pitiful. The rest of the good teams keep getting better....we keep re-signing matt ing bonner. The splitter thing? What a joke...he's NOT going to save us.
