Not happening. Hethinks he deserves MLE at least and that would be a sacrifice in his mind. Of all people that would play for pennies, you would think it would include a guy that's made as much money as him. Seriously, to him, is 5 million that much different than 2 million? Especially if whatever team gets him probably won't play him much until Feb? Come on.

I keep hearing that Shaq wants the MLE, but I can't see a contender giving him the MLE.... Shaq doesn't need money at all, and it would be absolutely pointless for him to play for any team that doesn't have a shot at a ring.... I think he takes what he can get from the best team he gets an offer from.
and yea, I'd love to have him here.... too bad Matty "Aww Shucks" Bonner just took his spot. Even if the Spurs wanted another big, it's not about the money, but the principle: No way does Shaq come to a team where he would be paid half of what that in scrub makes. I don't blame him.

According to Steven A. Smith, Shaq will sign for nothing less than what Ray Allen signed for, which is roughly 8 mil. NOT happening.
S.A.S. is an idiot...Shaq already said he'd sign for the MLE with the Spurs...and Ray Allen's deal is 2 years 20 mil...of course, we can't offer the MLE, so he probably won't come here, unless he has a change of heart because he really wants to play next to Timmy.
Dice is trash?

Dice played some of the best D on Dirk that I have seen any player in a spurs uniform play. He hit big shot after big shot in the playoffs. Dice was fantastic in the playoffs.
He does coast through the regular season like Horry used to do though.

Even without Shaq, Spurs are really deep at PF/C and they are still deep enough to give some rest to Duncan and Dice during the regular season.
If Spurs don't do a trade including Dice and/or Blair, Shaq won't be a Spur.
