Well good for Hairston if true. He deserves a shot.

Why Hairston won't play in Vegas: "I think we're comfortable with what he can do," Coach Bud says. "He's already got a lot of fans here."

Hairston visiting Spurs kids camp
By Kevin Arnovitz
San Antonio Spurs
DeJuan Blair: There's nothing unusual about seeing a second-round draft pick with only one year under his belt on a Summer League roster. What is unusual is when it's the player -- an All-NBA rookie no less -- who insists he report to Las Vegas, despite management's blessing to stay home.
Alonzo Gee: The small forward out of Alabama earned D-League Rookie of the Year honors with Austin, then recorded a double-double in his fifth NBA game after getting a call-up from Washington. The Spurs have some room on the depth chart at the wing, and a standout performance by Gee could earn him a closer look in training camp.
Garrett Temple: When Temple played with the Rockets' squad last summer, he displayed a combination of intelligence and compe iveness that said, "NBA player." Sure enough, the undrafted Temple earned four 10-day contracts (two with Houston, one with Sacramento and one with San Antonio). After a terrific March, Temple signed on with San Antonio for the remainder of the season.

lol Pistons trainer just picked up his 2nd T and got kicked out of the game, lol
Barry is having a ball commentating this game
We have a 7 foot guy playing in summer league? Josh Lomers from Baylor?
Lomers was decent in stretches at Baylor, but it was always a race between his asthma and his frequent fouls for what would have him taken off the floor first.
Apparently he went to Boerne High too...
I won't rule out Ryan Richards of the SL.
It's possible that Spurs have waited to solve the Splitter case to know if some of their MLE was left to sign him to a 3 years contract. If Splitter is signed this Monday, I expect Richards to be signed just after him and play Spurs' SL second game on July 14th.
So the roster doesnt have to be finalized by a certain time?
I was wondering about this the other day incase James Anderson is cleared to play mid way.
I don't know but it would be quite dumb to put strict roster rules while SL isn't about winning but is about evaluating players.
7/13 - Spurs vs. Grizzlies @ 4AM ET, wth 4am? is that the right time?
devin ebanks and dereck character from the lakers are ballin right now
It's a replay.
That's replay and not live...i think the original poster denoted live broadcasts in paren...
damn this dude's knee did yall see that, ebanks vs lawson is nice, but that dude just got hurt
who got hurt
some dude named Brian Butch blew out his knee
oh some scrub.
Yea, I hope so too. Would be cool if James Anderson heals up and plays 1 or 2 games. Same with Richards.
How long does it take to rehab a hamstring? And what day did he hurt it?
Is it just me or there's a lot of ladies reffing SL games?
Also, there's a guy that looks like Miki Moore playing for Houston![]()
O. Samhan is wearing these crazy low cut "below the ankle" basketball shoes. They look like skater shoes, but I guess they aren't affecting him because he is having a good game.
