-The summit is irrelevant..he's obviously allowed keeping his options open and looking for the best place for himself..

-Reports are reports..there are a lot more false reports that come out than there are accurate..there were also reports that came out that Lebron tried to get Bosh and Wade in Cleveland, but it didn't work out, so it makes sense that his decision didn't until Thursday..

-If Bosh and Wade came to Cleveland like the reports said Lebron tried to do, what would you be saying?..how is it Lebron's fault that they didn't want to sign to play in that piece of city?..

    -The summit is irrelevant..
Why ? Because it doesn't suit your argument? Are you saying there's no possibility of those three deciding at that summit to play together and in the mean time jerk other teams around?

Yeah, a woman filed a police report that Kobe raped her. I guess since there are a lot more false reports than accurate reports, we should assume that report was bogus and believe what Kobe said, since that's exactly the benefit of the doubt you're giving Lebron.

Lebron's a traitor because he lost a playoff series in order to use it as an excuse to leave.

    No, anything is possible..

You have no reason to say this though..these guys were Free Agents and they wanted to discuss Free Agency, they're all friends, what's wrong with that?..

Kobe admitted to having sex with the woman though, they were the only 2 people in the room, it obviously puts some doubt in minds..Lebron hasn't said anything other than saying he made his decision on Thursday morning..he hasn't given anybody any indication otherwise..

Your argument is that reports that were made by random media people proves that Lebron already knew what his decision was..

    No, anything is possible..
    Including Kobe's innocence.

You have no reason to say this though..these guys were Free Agents and they wanted to discuss Free Agency, they're all friends..
So three guys who played together in the Olympics and possibly made a pact to play with each other meeting to discuss free agency give me no reason to think they're discussing the possibility of playing with each other? Can you give me another example of 3 players holding a free agency summit.

Kobe admitted to having sex with the woman though..
And the big 3 have admitted plenty to talking about playing with each other prior to Thursday morning.

Lebron hasn't said anything other than saying he made his decision on Thursday morning..he hasn't given anybody any indication otherwise..
It's not about what he says, it's what he does. Lebron might say he didn't make up his mind till Thursday morning, but he's been friends with Bosh and Wade for two years and has obviously entertained playing with them long before Thursday morning.

Your argument is that reports that were made by random media people proves that Lebron already knew what his decision was..
Your argument is that a report from some who had 10 other different types of semen in her panties proves that Kobe committed rape, case closed.

LeBron is not a traitor for leaving. However, he's a frontrunning, spoiled SOB, who endorsed every freaking move made by the GM and Owner. Then he distanced himself from those moves when those moves seemingly failed.

With his MVP play, the Cavs amassed the NBA's best record for 2 straight years. However when the playoffs started and the pressure built up, he responded by quitting on his team during the playoffs. Totally punk move and totally unforgiveable.

Do not forget his comments during the Boston series of "I've probably spoiled fans here in the City of Cleveland. I've probably only had 3 bad games in my entire career." Really? It was so obvious that when adversity set in, he shrunk from the negative press, ran like a rat and blamed everyone else. Ultimately he got the coach fired and caused the GM to walk. Again, totally unforgiveable. He was also wrong for not responding to communication requests from the team. Thus allowing his team to "twist in the wind" when he knew he was leaving all along.

LeBron is like a lot of young, en lted, primma donna athletes of this era. They want the money, fame, and adulation. However, they do not always embrace the responsibility that comes with it.

I'll say it again. Lebron had every right to either stay or go - that's his choice. However, he shouldn't refer to himself as "King James", but then go to great lengths to sidestep his responsibility as the team leader. That's part of what you sign up for.

The real villian here though, is owner Dan Gilbert. He allowed this culture of irresponsible behavior, by his prized superstar, because he did what every other authority figure in LeBron's life has done - coddled and cowed down to his every whim. He never held him accountable for anything. Then, he wondered why the "king" didn't respect him.

All the more reason why, as an owner, you cannot allow your players to become GM. The greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, was constantly rebuffed by Bulls owner, Jerry Reinsdorf, when he tried to cir vent the GM and plead to the owner regarding personnel moves and acquisitions.

Lebron's a piece of because of the way he announced his decision. He ed with the Cavs and the city of Cleveland with his decision and announcement. He shouldn't have had that stupid decision on ESPN. He should have either announced it in a traditional press conference or privately. And the didn't show any emotion about leaving the Cavs. He didn't feel sorry for the fans or the city. Isn't the Cleveland-Akron area his hometown? How can he leave there and not show any type of emotion? It was like he didn't care about anyone but himself.

Lebron didn't know he was leaving Cleveland until Thursday morning, that's when he made his decision, according to him..he announced this when they asked him about it on The Decision that was made to raise money for the B&G Club..

Are you trolling about this or are you serious? We know the money was donated - but it was all a ploy to make the sting hurt less. Obviously, this worked on you.

All valid points, but I don't buy it for a guy of Lebron's magnitude..he obviously never had to worry about securing a long-term deal or securing long-term money, he was already an established superstar by that time..yes, injuries are possible, but I genuinely believe he wanted to make it work in Cleveland, which is why he stayed for so long without making any noise about the organization's failures..
I don't know the answer to this, but do you know over the last decade how many NBA players still on their rookie contract who were good enough to be offered a max extension by their team actually turned it down?

Kobe said he was innocent of rape, but the other side of it is the fact that he actually admitted to taking part in the penetration, and nobody could prove that he didn't rape her..

Lebron said he decided on Thursday morning, but where's the other side of things?..there's nothing you can really say to counter it, you're just assuming that he's lying..

When I assume Kobe raped, I at least have something to base it on, which is the penetration..you don't have anything to base your opinion on, you just don't believe he made his decision Thursday..
    WOW...Friggen WOW!!!!

So admitting having sex with a woman and her crying rape is proof? In this country you are INNOCENT until proven guilty. Nobody HAD to prove he didn't rape her. When the facts came out about her promiscuity and history of mental illness the prosecution folded tent and she tucked tail.

Nothing to go on? My god HarlemHoBag, can you be any more gulliable or re ed? They have come out and said they mad a pact in China. They had "summits". Alonzo has come out and said the Heat knew all along. And look how it all played out. All coincedence no doubt.

I already said it was possible that they discussed playing together..the same reports said that Lebron tried to get them to come to Cleveland first, which kills your argument, since we're apparently going by media reports..

The only 2 people that know what happened are Kobe and the woman, Kobe has admitted that his penis was inside of her..is this not a fact?..he put himself in a position where people can doubt him..Phil Jackson has backed me up on this by saying he wasn't surprised that Kobe was accused of rape, because his anger often consumes him..

    How is that hypocrisy?..

One guy admitted that he penetrated the woman, while the other guy hasn't given any reason to doubt that his decision came on Thursday morning..choosing to sign with Miami doesn't change that, because the reports(since we're using this as an argument) said he tried to get them all in Cleveland first..meaning his decision easily could have come that morning, like King said..there were more people that thought Lebron would stay in Cleveland, so it makes no sense..

It is a fact that only 2 people know for sure.

And it is also a fact that you are not one of the 2. So why do go around on a daily basis and toss out accusations as if they are fact.

And the PJ backs you up claim is nothing but hogwash.

It was possible? Stop being so diplomatic. You know damn well that they've talked about it. LBJ and Bosh said they would have loved to do this but they didn't know if it would be possible. When they realized it would be possible guess what they did? They ran to Miami.

You get dumber every minute son.

And that woman probably wanted money. You don't think Kobe can't get any woman he wants. Why would he even risk his image to rape a girl. Im 95% sure the girl wanted money.

As I've clearly said on this page, Kobe's rape is a matter of opinion..I don't attack people for their opinions, feel free to believe what you want..

Remember, I'm the one defending Lebron here, I'm not forcing people to agree with him..I'm just defending him from the attacks that people are making for stupid reasons..

    I don't know damn well..how would I know?..I'm not a mind reader..

Raping a woman has nothing to do with "getting any woman he wants"..if you're a rapist, you're obviously a messed up person that does it for other reasons..obviously..

The hypocrisy is that you say we can't know anything about LeBron because we are just fans (that is true) but then you turn around and act like you know for sure Kobe wanted to rape and harm that girl.

Dude its more likely we would know something about LeBron's decision with all his antics and famous teams gear and his buddies talking then a situation as private as a sexual encounter.
