He's still not an athlete, and there's still the issue of Minnesota wanting some 1st-round compensation. Best, I figure, the Suns were willing to include was Clark. Getting a Memphis Grizzlies first is worth more than that.
He's way more athletic than a lazy Turkish fatass who only plays hard in a contract year.

It's a crapshoot, for sure, but Hayward isn't anything like Alexander as a player. But whatever... like I said, Henry was a better pick.

Cuban and Donnie don't get it. You need young talent and athleticism to win. This team has no chance with old players.

Don't be stupid. Turkoglu's best season was the year prior to his contract year, and he had been progressing very nicely for several years prior.

I'm not a fan of the Turkolgu trade, but I wouldn't really like Jefferson either, for: big expense, risk of injury, doesn't address all the needs, doesn't really fit well with up-tempo system.

Don't be stupid. Turkoglu's best season was the year prior to his contract year
And one of his worst seasons was right after he signed a new contract (sup Boris Diaw)

and he had been progressing very nicely for several years prior.
Yes, and then Jameer Nelson emerged and being the one dimensional ball hog Turkoglu is, he became useless trying to co-exist with a great PG. Unless the offense runs through Turk, he's useless.

Jefferson addresses a lot more trades than Turkoglu. I really don't care about fitting well in the up tempo system since the up tempo system is a proven loser.

Jefferson isn't bringing a le to Phoenix, either. No chance.

I don't like the Turkolgu acquisition, and I wouldn't really want a Jefferson acquisition as well.

Would a coupon for one free appetizer with the purchase of a full entree to any Scottsdale-area Cheesecake Factory make you feel better?

I have my own VIP Booth at the Cheesecake Factory at the Northwest Highway location here in Dallas and I'm good friends with the owners. I can pull some strings for you.

Agreed but unlike Turk Big Al is potentially a young building block for the future. He's only one year removed from being a 23 11 player. They aren't winning a championship anytime soon period, so it would make more sense to bring in a young player who might keep them compe ive rather than a player who is 30 iirc. Big Al is the bulky low post presence who would compliment Robin Lopez perfectly so he could go back to playing in the high post and using his athleticism more.

I really don't get why yall are doggin' the Mavs... The story is the up by the Jazz. They finally got rid of the player holding them back with Booz goin' to Chi-Town, and then they have to go around and themselves in the ass by replacing him with his clone, despite having their PF of the future ON THEIR ROSTER ALREADY...

The Jazz don't ing deserve to win. I hope Deron Williams bolts. I hope they are dumb enough to trade away Milsap.

"But I was lucky, because I had a spoon in my hand... So I shoved it up my ass. You may be wondering why. Because if I’m going to hurt that much, I’m going to do it to myself. Oprah calls that ‘empowerment.’” - Lewis Black

yep. Cp3 is great, but the lakers won back to back les with fisher/farmar and the celtics won with the 2008 version of rajon rondo. If you want to beat the lakers, you have to be able to match up with the length of their frontline, and jefferson would've given the mavs a fighting chance.
