One of the main reasons why I think people are willing to let Parker go is, inspite of his individual brilliance ( make no mistake about it he provides huge impact) he dosen't make the players around him better. This is the exact opposite of what Manu provides, it's no secret that RJ, Blair and Hill, and even Splitter (who is looking forward to play P and R with Manu) love to play with Manu and actually become better playing with him on the court. The same cannot be said of Parker, it seems when he is on the court although he gets his numbers everyone's else stats go down ( Blair, Hill, RJ , Dice, Manu) . the one exception would probably be TD, who really dosen't need Manu or Tony to get his numbers.

Given that the young guys ( Hill, Blair ,Splitter, Anderson ) and the new recruits ( RJ and Dice) play well with Manu as a leader and distributor. In makes sense to hand over the team to Manu as your Jason Kidd/ Magic type. with Timmy in his latter years playing like a Kareem of LA's 80's role. If this is the way the Spurs are to be built moving forward, you might as well let go of parker and get good value in return for a more complimenting player in line with the new future direction. Remember Norm Nixon a good PG had to go when it became evident that Magic was the leader, then they added pieces like Scott and Worthy after. ( Anderson and maybe a josh smith for TP ?)

Lets face it the Spurs future revolves around Hill, Splitter, Anderson and Blair and the players who can lead them in that transition is no other than Manu and Duncan . Not Tony Parker. I think its time for change ! and have that different approach. At some point you will have to make that decision to rebuild and resign to the fact that the ""big 3"" has had its run. That time has come .. Hill, Splitter and Anderson is our future core and the earlier we make them our main guys the better, so team the 3 up with manu and Duncan as your main 5 for the next 3 years . That leave parker out !

The only reason I want Spurs to trade Parker because there is a good chance Parker will jump ship and go to New York, if Parker were to say he is going to sign an extension with the Spurs im against the Spurs trading Parker, Parker will be a big part of this team next season.

Well, when other teams game plan, their first priority is usually - stop Tony Parker. That's an indication of how he important he is.

Assuming that the plus/minus stat is accurate, all that really tells you is the Spurs play better when Manu is on the court with the main team ( Parker, TD etc) rather than without. which isn't saying much from what we already know. Plus/minus stats can be misleading. The stat you should be looking for is :how's Blair, Hill and RJ's productivity when playing with Parker w/o Manu as compared to playing with Manu without parker.

Just on anecdotal information alone we all know RJ and Blair are better players when playing with Manu, while both struggle offensively when playing with Parker. And I know Hill gets a lot of his corner threes from pases from Manu as compared to playing with Tony
