Serious question here.
Should we really care anymore? I remember a year or two ago some MavFan here (believe it was FinDog) said that they just became numb to the embarassment and epic fails of the Mavs.
I think i've been at that point for the last year where i really just don't even care. If we win or make the FO does something right, its a huge schock, but when we lose you don't really feel any emotion you just kind of go on with your day like nothing happened.

Yes. If you are a real fan, you never give up on your team.
You had your f'in' chance. You had it won four years ago last month. And you ed it up. You've nobody to blame but yerselves.
I consider myself a true fan. I've always rooted for them, and always will but there comes a time where after so much failure you kind of just expect it subconsciously. And after awhile you get the SpursDynasty kind of feeling. Mavs just choking the games they're supposed to choke. No surprises here
tbh in 07 I didn't care after the rapings GS gave us during the regular season. Out of the 15 losses, weren't 3 of them GS? I knew they were the mavs kryptonite
in 08, i didn't give a . the mavs went something like 19-17 after the kidd trade and I knew there was no chance
in 09, i didn't care after the bull no call on antoine ing wright. the mavs had no chance in that series.
in 10, the mavs were the favorites, had a nice team(on paper), and was considered to challenge the Lakers in the WCF. played a team they KNEW they could beat but usual playoff chokers such as Terry, Marion etc didnt show up. Roddy didn't get to play until game 6(where he shined) and Dirk had no help. I was pissed for a month or so after that but now i dont give a

The loss in 07 really sucked and this last year sucked
08 and 09 i knew we weren't that good. 07 i was almost certain we'd win the championship, so that 1st round loss was tough to watch. This last year i thought we had the best team in the West to challenge the Lakers. If we would've lost to them i wouldn't be disappointed but the fact that we didn't even make it past the 1st round was gay
07 did suck ass though, the mavs were better than every team that year. except golden state.

06 sucked too because of the refs and you never know how that series turns out if D Wade doesn't average 18 free throws a game. The last 4 games were all pretty close (except Game 4) and Game 5 was an abortion. Who the wins a FINALS game at the free throw line in OVERTIME. The phantom fouls sucked ass and Game 6 where D Wade threw his body into Dirk with under a minute left to give the Heat free throws pissed me off like crazy but there is nothing you can do.Thus the life of a Mavs fan.
btw didnt Wade have 95 Free throws while the WHOLE Mavs team have 97?
i haven't given a since 2007. i'm numb to the . i'm more of a mav hater than a fan now. after today's trade i want to see them crash, burn, and fail miserably.
i was in Europe and missed the entire Finals back then.
I was so pissed lol, i watched the Mavs way more religiously back then, then now and i saw every game leading up to the Finals on the edge of my seat.

I want Dirk to have a fighting chance at a le. And if that chance can't happen with the Mavericks then so be it. He deserves to ring after the bull he has been through the last decade.

I wish he'd be a little more physical for his size, but there's no denying his talent. Not to mention he's such a likable guy in general. I don't see how you can root against him.
If he were to go to SA, LA, or Miami and win a ring I would be happy, just as long as he gets one
Wade will always be known as a guy that made a lot of free throws in the NBA Finals in my book. I hope the guy dies of an STD. Sorry, I can't stand that er. He stole the championship away from the Mavs. I have no respect for that overrated piece of . I feel bad for Dirk too. The guy is the Mavs. He deserves a championship before he retires. I know that Wade made a lot of FTs and the refs were ty in the Finals but Dirk should have played better.
I remember Terry was a badass in 06 and Jho ted on the Warriors in 07. Dirk needed to step up in the Finals and 07 but he did. thats about the only thing wrong I can think about him and his playoff performance
I'm genuinely surprised by the reaction of Mavs fans. I thought you guys would be all "now we have the size to challenge the Lakers and easily shut down Duncan", but instead it appears you've all finally caught on to the fact that stacking name on top of name onto an already flawed roster with no real consideration given to chemistry, role definition, etc. doesn't win championships...too bad for you guys that your owner still hasn't figured that out. He's still treating reality like it's a video game.
Keep your head up Mavs fans, the Cowboys look like they are headed to the SB this year.
Can't really fault MarkCuban for what he's doing. He didn't have a whole lot to work with. Some would argue Jefferson, but injury history and salary were just risks he wasn't willing to take.
As Mav fans, we can and moan all we want, but there's a reason they have the job they do and we don't
