The Gist conundrum is that he'd play a lot better in summer league if he stayed down low but he has to show a perimeter game to make it in the NBA.

Anyone that's as athletic as Gist can dunk. Nothing special. He needs to improve in every other aspect of the game.

Let me say: James Gist should be a superstar in Europe. Outstanding athlete and could run the 4 in Euroleague.
They need to stop waiting till so deep in the shot clock to start moving.

I think the Spurs need to just give up trying to make him into what he's not and see if they can develop what he is, even though that's not what they need. Don Nelson might like it.
