    It's still a Spurs forum with 90% of Spurs fans, it's pretty logical to think that at least one of those thousands of Spurs fans will post an article here that compliments his team.

    Complimenting your team is one thing, implying that the addition of Tiago Splitter outweighs the addition of Lebron and Bosh is another. If you found an article saying the addition of Hedo Turkoglu was better than the addition of Lebron and Bosh, please tell me about it because I wanna know what journalist wrote it.

    Ginobili is still playing at a superstar level. Duncan is winding down a bit but still one of the most valuable players in the league. Blair is a third guy who gives well above average production.

    You can go pretty far with two stars who play as well as Manu/Duncan and a role player giving that kind of production. McDyess, Parker, Hill, are only average players at this point but you can definitely do worse at the 5 and the 1 (a lot of teams do). Splitter is an x-factor -- really hard to get a grasp on what to expect from him. If he can deliver, the Spurs will be really good next year.

    That's a good point about Manu and Duncan when they're healthy. But they're often injured and it's not a fluke. Age is catching up with them. Spurfan knows it, this isn't breaking news or anything. I just don't think they have the gas to last very long in the playoffs. They played very well vs Dallas but couldn't keep up at all with Phoenix in the next round.

    The X-factor will indeed be Splitter but in order for them to reach the WCF he has to put up something like 15 and 10 all season and everyone has to remain healthy. Don't see it happening

    I am reserving judgement until I see him play in a Spurs uniform. I am however ecstatic that he is finally here. Now I want to see if there is truth to the hype.

    I don't think that this signing is anywhere near the scope of the LeBron, Bosh, Wade thing. Splitter is still unproven in the NBA. If he proves his worth, there are still 2 other players he needs to make up for. One man can only do so much.

    Can't wait for next season!
