The first one, visually, is very "Alice in Wonderland". There's some interesting textures, and a semblance of theme (look at all the gates, the pacman ghosts on the top left and bottom right). It tells much more of a "story" than the bottom one.
I like that one too. Reminds me of werewolfs, what with the bloody smear and the full moon. There's also an interesting "moon over water" in the bottom left half of the picture.

To put it simply Mouse, your art is bursting with style, but has little substance.
The best art is all about substance.
See if you can combine the two on your next projects.
As for your contests, man, I'd be very leery of online stuff where they are most likely sending the same "that's a shame, yours is the best so far" email to every artist that hasn't sent in their money yet.
Good luck!![]()
nothing new and a bunch of unfinished stuff... posting the same ol' .

the winners seem to have a theme. The losers, I have no idea what they mean.
Mmmmm Pringles!
you need to enter next months contest!![]()
can you explain what theme you get from a naked lady?
You all that are talking about themes and certain types of art are all off base. the reason is if you look at the past art contest the winners are all over the place. What won last month would lose this month. There is no certain style or theme that is sought after, if so then all the artists would have been doing it by now. look at the past winners.

This wins 2nd place? WTF? my kids can do better.
and this one doesn't win? WTF!

You just proved my point. I wish you'd listen. I'm trying to help you.
Add some substance...some 'meaning' whatever that may be...to your great style of art...your bright colors and crisp images...and you will have a winner.
As pretty as it may be, there is no substance to that impala. It is what it is.
But the owl...weird eyes...a pot belly...moon on the side...some branches with leaves...couple of dogs underneath...this art has meaning...who knows what that meaning is...but I assure you, the artist knows.
Find some meaning for what you want to create and then use your talents to create a masterpiece. Again, Good luck!![]()
IMHO, your view or art is clearly differs from what the judges are looking for. Does the art speak to them or make them go WTF?? Art is so subject to one's personal tastes and likes that no two people may see it the same way. I wouldn't be sending out $50 to get someone's opinion.
You call a ed up owl substance?
look at the links many good artists are getting the shaft.
ok lets test your art skills i will post three winners and three losers tell me which are which.

no thanks.
I like the bottom two but that is just MY opinion.
Like this one.
Is this a young T_Park?
(maybe after getting jazzed up?)
I'll guess that 1, 5 and 6 were winners. *shrug* (All I know is that 3 better not have won.)
I pick 1 and 5 as well.
Not really sure what 4 is...2 seems a bit interesting.
So which were which Mouse?
123 are loser images.
So which one was yours?
Well I personally like 1 better than 6, but I should have known 4 would be a winner...other than what look like shirt buttons, I cannot discern what is going on in the piece.
As for your art, the point remains...think of something...and idea...an ideal...maybe something painful...then use the talents you have and create a masterpiece with it instead of just something pretty to look at. Good luck man...
And when you are ready to get back into performing art and comedy, give me a call, as we have much work to do...I have ideas like never before. You film me, I film you...we splice and dice, add some soundtracks, and it's big time time. Talk to you soon.![]()
