says the guy that thinks brenda ing haywood deserves a 6 yr-$55 million contract...even more pathetic that you didnt learn your lesson with Ericka when it comes to guys playing well in contract years.

5 bucks says Brenda wont come close to sniffing a double-double next year...will put up 6 ppg & 6 rpg like most of his career.

hahah the scola/haywood comparisons are hilarious....

Scola's deal looks real good when you see that Haywood got the same thing. What a ripoff.

Scola is dependable night after night and is more than worth what he is getting paid. At least you can give the ball to Scola and expect him to have a great chance of creating his own shot.... and score.

I would hate to see what haywood would produce given a chance to create his own shot and actually come out with two points.... chances are small that would ever actually happen. Not to mention that Haywood has done NOTHING his entire career while Scola has proven he can play.

What a joke these comparisons are.

I should have known it, Rockets fans are just too stupid to understand simple things. I also didnt compare the players 1:1 like you are trying now to do with that "creating his shot" blabla.

Houston has really the dumbest fans in the league, Clutchfans is a pile of with blind homerism.

I didnt compare the players Scola and Haywood and who is the better player. I compared the value of Scola as a PF in the NBA and the value of Haywood as a center in this league. How many good to great PF are in the league? How many good to great center? Way less. Thats why every damn center get 1-2 million more than he should.

Thats why Scola and Haywood got both reasonable contracts for their performance and mainly position (!).

Thats why Rockets fans should stop laughing about 45/5 for Haywood after resigning Lowry and Scola to such contracts.

    dumbjohn still too dumb

    Haywood got the market contract.

Damp got with "true" 59/6 his market value in 2004

    Scola got his market value

But yes sure, try to cheap out for 5-10 million on Haywood to see him leave and being left with a blakc hole at the 5.

Thats why Morey paid off Scola and Lowry too. Maybe move ur head first out of Moreys ass to see the light again

I seriously doubt some other team would have signed Haywood to that kind of contract.

cool, last yr is unguaranteed...you act like 5 yrs-45 mill still isnt overpaying.

fact check for you-- that much for a 6-7 ppg, 6-7 rpg, 1 bpg guy is overpaying son. cue your comeback that his 10 ppg 10 rpg year had absolutely nothing to do with his contract yr and that brenda will put up similar numbers from here on out despite being a lazy sack of before he was trying to get a big payday.

So Scola is not going to PAO after all. So much for Greek Rumor that Rockets would not pay Scola. Oh and yes Scola did originally belong to the Spurs. We got him cause the Spurs wanted to keep Bonner for 5 mil. Thank you again Spurs

They didn't want to pay the luxury tax for Jackie Butler.

And Bonner never made 5 million in a season.

Spurs resigned Bonner for something like 3 mil and Jackie Butler's contract was worth an additional 2 mil for a total of 5 mill between the two. But my point I was trying to make was was that resigning Bonner cost the same as signing Scola.

Luis Scola is a free agent after his contract with the Houston Rockets expired last season. The Argentinian 30-year-old forward is expecting an offer from the Rockets, but is also considering other options. As his agent Claudio Villanueva confirmed, Scola has attracted the interest of the Nets, and has also two offers from European team. According to the Greek media, Panathinaikos could be one of them. The Greek club could be also interested in two other NBA players, still under contract: the Spanish guard Rudy Fernández, from the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Argentinian forward Andrés Nocioni, recently traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.

UPDATE: Panathinaikos has denied any interest in signing Luis Scola.

This is for guys who trust in Greek media...
