Video: How Tiago Splitter fits in with the San Antonio Spurs
Andrew A. McNeill
We’ve talked plenty about Tiago Splitter in these parts. But we haven’t done a whole lot of work on explaining how he will actually fit into the San Antonio Spurs’ plans.
Most of what we were concerned with was actually getting him in the silver and black. An important first step, I know. But now that the deal is done and dusted and Splitter has been assigned a jersey, let’s have a look at how the big Brazilian fits in with your San Antonio Spurs.

I can't wait to see splitter playing next season
I can't wait to see the Spurs just pick and roll everyone to death.
good video
That's not him.
I'm sure McNeill appreciates.![]()
Good video, although I wouldn't call that last clip "good footwork" ... and that no-jump jump hook would be blocked into the 15th in the NBA.
Cool video. Very informative for those whove never seen him play.
We only need Splitter to be better than Rasho, and we're golden.
If Splitter can be anything approaching the defender Rasho was, anything he gives offense or rebounding-wise is gravy.
Thanks for the video. Splitter looks fairly mobile for a 7 ftr just in terms of moving around the court. That alone is worth something. It is easier to make that jump-hook, even without lift, when you are near 7 ft.
"like a young dwight howard"![]()
nice. the voice is bothersome lol
I don't think so he bumped the defender and then pushed off with his left arm and shot with his right in one motion. He didn't jump because he was pushing off to get the shot.
If the defender wants to get to that shot they have to go through him, his forearm is in your chest. Some defenders can get to that shot in the NBA but not that many.
Rumor is that Splitter is a good team defender.
