No, but given the same opportunity...
@WC:
How many Hitlers have there been in your lifetime, before Obama? Just curious.
No, but given the same opportunity...
So you think Obama is on is way to becoming a genocidal maniac?
given the opportunity... what?
given the opportunity, WC would choose to not be re ed.
So then there are no articulable similarities, apart from the bald conjecture that someday history may present Obama with a similar "opportunity."
So subtle and so penetrating, maestro. I would have missed that.
it can't just be "similar".
he has to exterminate jews.
I disagree. I think you're scary, and you should really discuss this with your therapist in your next session.
He has as much opportunity to turn into Hitler as he has to turn into the Anti-christ. Which coincidentally is as much opportunity as any of his predecessors.
I really cannot believe you're serious.
What's scary is that WC along with his party line actually BELIEVE this nonsense...looks like someones a fan of Glenn Beck...
I found one in Cuba, but I'm not too terribly concerned
Hitler being "most violent genocide leader this planet has ever seen" is debatable at best, and a myth at worst. Through their orders and the results of the culture they created, Stalin and Mao Ze-Dong completely dwarf Hitler's genocide, and that's just this century.
I'm sure if you go back to the middle or dark ages there were people who were much more violently genocidal, if without as large of raw numbers.
Yeah, don't forget Pol Pot too...he's on the "last century top ten list".
In WC's defense, I get the feeling that if Obama had the opportunity to be lifetime President he would take it in a heartbeat.
And we can certainly agree on that. The cultural/social genocide vs the ideological genocide is certainly debatable.
Perhaps I should have said 'one of...'. But the point stands: there's no comparison between Obama and any of those monsters.
Which president wouldn't? Some thought they were on a mission from God...
I mean, if he proposed a cons utional amendment to allow him to be forever re-elected, then that should raise some red flags, but there hasn't been any such thing...
Issues. You haz them.
It depends on how the comparison is structured. You can compare political views and find decent comparisons between the monsters of the world and anyone.
But yeah, mostly it's just complete bunk. While they may share some similarities in political leanings, the comparison is always meant to portray the comparee as a monster of similar proportions, which is stupid.
Personally, I'd say Obama compares better with Mussolini than Hitler from a purely political view perspective.
His rhetoric might, but his actions are a lot closer to the Bushes than the Mussolinis...
Well, W. was a bit of Mussolini after 9-11 as well.
But yeah, no matter the rhetoric, our government trucks on in the same direction.
I'm pretty sure that Obama is in a position to become the next Charlie Chaplin, given the right set of conditions...
Not at all. Hitler was a racist, and corruptible to abuse his power in that regard Obama is abusing his power the same ways with the things he embraces.
If Obama and the general sentament was racial, and in older times, he could act the same. That is my point. His utter lack of ethics.
