That is a side benefit. It is easier to move when your house is lesser in value and not as large (easier/quicker to sell, fewer items to pack and move etc).
The MAIN benefit, if he plays his conservative cards right, after retiring he can live on a cardiologist budget (300-500 grand per year or more) without having to work a SINGLE hour for the rest of his life. That is worth more than any lambo, or multi-million dollar house............He can still have a lambo or other hi-dollar toy if he keeps housing cost down and then he can sell it off later with minimal depreciation........
