Rashad McCants skipped the Cavaliers summer-league invite because he's caring for his mother, who has cancer. He still hopes to be invited to another team's training camp.

Rashad said he would love to play with the Heat, Lakers, or Clippers -- it remains to be seen whether any team will give him a shot, but his high-scoring potential is recognized league-wide.

Rashad McCants is an example of why it was beyond dumb to max out your MLE on a bench player this year. Now that the free agency craze has blown over, guys like McCants can't find a job and would be thrilled to get a fraction of the MLE when players who are barely if at all better got the full MLE a week ago.

A fraction of the MLE? You're overvaluing him. This scrub is having trouble landing a roster sport at even the abosolute minimum.
