Never seen. There's a lot of good movies I've never seen. Like the Godfather's and usual suspects, not that I'm holding suspects at the same level as the godfathers.

I've heard the 3rd one is not good. Trainspotting is a British movie or a movie with lots of Brits. Obi wan is in it, right?

I've only seen the original Star Wars, but I assume you mean Ewan MacGregor?

Great movie. Seen it about half a dozen times. Up there with Requiem For A Dream as far as drug movies go.

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a ing big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of ing fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing ing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, ed-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life . . . But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

I'm going to be in the minority here. I saw it twice about five years ago. I thought it was just allright. Probably beacause there were so many characters and I didn't like any of them. Requiem for a Dream, on the other hand, is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I saw Trainspotting the first time it was released at Crossroads theater (now the Bijou). It was a limited release and that was the only theater in San Antonio showing it. A few months later it was rereleased and all my friends were talking about it.

I told them I had already seen it and they all looked at me confused. Naturally I went to see it again as I enjoyed the movie so much. Just last week I was thinking about that movie and wondering as to why I don't own it.

Well I understand exactly what you mean. It isn't an easy film to watch, there are a lot of characters and none of them is particularly attractive. I also think some people may have a difficult time because of the severe accents. The first time I saw it, I thought it was okay but it took several times before I could actually enjoy it.

I ing hated Begbie by the end of the film. During the last scene when he beats up the guy at the bar I was just hoping Rents was gonna stand up to him. I guess he did in a way by stealing all the money

Damn. That movie is pretty intense. It came out or I saw it right when I was going through my drug haze. The visuals are pretty awesome. The music alone can drive someone mad. It's a good love story though.

Check This out, the first time I saw it was when it came out in Germany. I was an exchange student at the beginning of my year, and only had a cursory knowledge of the German language. I barely got the gist of the movie, but it seemed cool enough to follow up on. I ended up talking to a fellow exchange student who also lived in Berlin about it, and he told me he had the book. He let me borrow it and that was (in the beginning) almost as bad as watching it in German. It took me a very long time to get through the first 25-30 pages. Then I finally had lower-Scottish slang down, and was able to read the entire book at normal speed. Great book. I didn't see the movie in English until about 1999.

The one thing I liked about Trainspotting was the music. The movie is intense, but you actually get invested in some of the characters. I hated Begbie too. I liked that Rent left Spud some money in the end. I felt bad for Tommy. Sick Boy was the only one that I really didn't feel for one way or the other.

My friends and I love quoting this movie.
