I don't like using the term "elitism" for such an action. Call it "wasteful" or something that better defines what happened.
Elitism is a good thing, and something we all practice. Do you think America is better than other nations? Then you believe in elitism. Do you think you're better at your job than someone else? Then you believe in elitism. Do you think it would be better to hire a doctor considered one of the best to do your surgery, instead of a new med school student? Then you believe in elitism.
I do both; you're not a very attentive reader. I know you can't help that, so I don't really hold it against you anymore.

You thought he was using a plane just to send a dog and an aide ahead of AF1. You then got severely owned by the correction of the story and are now trying to say a simple and necessary change of transportation is elitist. You are failing rather spectacularly at that as well. So now you are going to try to argue that taking a vacation and flying in a plane is elitist. Are you posting from the public library? Are people with cars nicer than yours also elitist?
