I really hate Julia Stiles. I was hoping they'd cast the wife from district 9, Vanessa Haywood. Thought she'd make a good Rita replacement.

Oh and I'm very excited for this to return. Dexter is probably my favorite show now that Lost is done.

Lithgow's performance was amazing. Even though he got chopped up he won that war. He had the chance to tell Dexter about Rita while on the table but chose not to. He knew he had already laid naked in the tub with Rita and cut her per his ritual. He even left his son there to lay in a pool of his Rita's blood. Trinity was truly more sinister and twisted than Dexter. What a finale that was!
How the the writers will explain how Trinity's family will/won't identify Kyle Butler will be interesting.
Season 4 was my favorite cuz of Lithgow. I liked everything about this last season. Season 3 was good but it dragged for a majority of the season. Season 1 was great. Season 2 was solid as well. My order: 4,1,2,3.

I wonder how Dexter will answer as to why the Trinity killer went at Rita? Rita was supposed to be going on a holiday, I wonder if Dexter will deal with her body and act as if she has gone missing? Who knows...
There was a few unanswered things left open too. Quinn was slowly catching on to Dexter, following him around... they never elaborated or went further with that. The Mitc family can easily label Dex as Kyle Butler, and all the ramifications of that etc...

Quinn was following him around cause he needed dirt on Dex, cause Dex had dirt on him. Also Dex doesn't hide the body he goes to the cops. Lastly, who says the FBI believes him that trinity killed his woman.
I'm just joking about not watching b/c of Rita.
I loved what they did with Trinity last season. The build up to the outburst at his dinner party was great.

I'm a late fan of Dexter though, I watched on Netflix. I'm so glad I did. The only shows that had me intrigued from the first episode were LOST and Dexter.

I really hope that season 5 lives up to expectations. It will probably be tough to follow up season 4 though. I like that Dexter is being questioned though, but it was inevitable that he would be esp. because Trinity had never killed a married woman before.
It's just going to suck without Rita.
tbh though I hope Dexter only goes on for a couple of more seasons. The show only has so much left in it and I hope they go out with a bang and don't drag on the show.
