It makes too much sense. Package Miller, Przybilla, and Batum/Matthews for him. They get a PG with a year left, a big expiring, and a promising young player.

I actually think a Paul-Roy Back court would be dynamic. You've got two All-stars who can break down the defense, and hit clutch shots. They still won't win anything but at the end of the day, they will be a better team. Roy's assists numbers will drop and the team's assists numbers will probably drop in general, but I expect the efficiency of the team to rise.

Wtf you're such a dumbass. If u were the GM of the Hornets would u make this moronic trade to accomodate Paul?

Assuming Roys untradeable, you s better at least be willing to part with a combination like Aldridge/Batum to land a player like Paul.

Lets see if the Hornets play hardball and demand Oden in a Paul trade.

I think Portland has the best chance and if the Hornets are going to trade Chris Paul right away, then someone will have to take Okafor's contract otherwise CP3 will not get traded until the deadline of 2012 at the earliest.

Would Spur fan trade Tony Parker for Chris Paul?
Why? Adding Paul wouldn't make the Spurs contenders and New Orleans wouldn't want a one year rental of Parker.

Actually they are now. The most recent list is New York, Dallas, Orlando, and Portland.

    ing yeah I would.

I doubt it will ever happen, but Parker for Paul straight up isn't a terrible deal on the Hornets side, in terms of the cap relief they're looking for. Parker gives them a top 10 PG to replace Paul and he's also expiring so they could let that happen or flip him for someone else. CP3 on the Spurs = les. I'm not a huge Paul fan, but I would love to see a player of his caliber on this team with those passing abilities. The best passer we have is Ginobili and CP3 is way better.

It wouldn't make the Spurs contenders?

    Sure it would.

Three upper-upper-echelon starters on one squad? FWICT only the Heats can say that right now. Put Paul on the Spurs at only the expense of Parker and you could add SA to that short list.

People forget how great Paul was. All bets are off with knee surgeries, but there's a very good chance his 2010 year ends up being his "Wade year," i.e. the year he got injured, tarnished his reputation, and everyone figured he was just done. Of course, Wade was far from done.

Roy and Paul is a recipe for disaster ...many on here just throw players together without any idea of "fit".
That is why Portland has the best young talent but can barely get out of the first round.
Although OKC made a mistake taking Harden over curry the way they draft and have built their team ...not sure I would swap Paul for Westbrook ...but if Paul wants to win ...a pairing with Durant and OKC would be smarter

Portland has the assets necessary to get this deal done without breaking up our core (Roy, Aldridge, Oden). If CP3 goes anywhere it will be here.

How soon we forget... The reason we didn't get out of the 1st round was injuries. That's the only reason. We don't even need CP3 to beat the Lakers. We just need to be healthy and we will be this year. Strike that. We don't even need to be healthy to beat the Lakers.

We might consider that, but there's no way we would give you Oden. Too much potential there.

Andre Miller has always been a "ball-dominant" point guard, not to Paul's extent but you have to realize that Roy's hamstring has been injured the past season on some occasions.

While playing with Miller when he was not bothered by the hamstring, Roy had a dominant stretch of games. It is safe to say both players would be able to play together effectively. With Roy on the team, Paul would know that he has a perimeter threat he can rely on and Roy would also have one to rely on. To say that a talent of Paul and Roy would not be able to adjust is insane. They may as well be Parker and Ginobili on steroids.

This also changes the dynamics of the team. LaMarcus Aldridge can focus on being a high post threat like David West and I hope Greg Oden stays healthy. Because when Oden is healthy, his rebounding rate statistically is top 5 in the league and he plays real good defense to boot. Along with Batum, whose potential to be a great defensive stopper and his outside shooting threat should allow a backcourt of Roy and Paul to succeed. Of course, that is if Paul somehow finds himself with the Portland Trail Blazers. If Batum is gone, they have Babbitt and Elli0t Williams to fill in the SG/SF spot while Roy shifts to the 3 for some stretches.
