A shooting specialist who can't play the small forward position, but since he's 6-8 people still call him one.
    What position does he play?

Are you saying Morrison is a power forward?

    Great.

Neal isn't a power forward either.

Bonner is listed as a Center-Forward.

Does Gary Neal play power forward?

    Does Gary Neal play center?

Sure he's listed there, but he's not on the team because of his ability to play either of those positions. He's on the team to shoot. He just gets listed as a PF or C because he's 6-10 and "shooting specialist" isn't recognized as a position.

Same goes for Morrison. We can call him a SF if that makes us happy, but all you're going to get from him is a guy who can camp out by the 3 point line and hopefully knock down some open shots. That's basically the same thing as what Neal supposedly is going to do. So does Morrison doing the same thing, only while being 4 inches taller make much of a difference? Not IMO. If you think it does, fair enough. Agree to disagree.

Four inches makes quite bit of difference in the NBA

It would if Morrison did things like rebound or defend.

did I miss something? was there some reported interest from the Spurs in Morrison? (or why is this discussion heating up?)
btw. if there has ever been a guy who should try to re start his career in Europe, it's Morrison.
however, if Morrison is willing to sign for a minimum contract, maybe even non guaranteed, he is worth consideration. I still wonder how a super efficient scorer in college could turn into such a totally inefficient scorer in the NBA. (yes, I know the common reasons why many college stars fail in the NBA and most are valid for Morrison, still wonder why it is that significant)

Over the last couple of days, Morrison has worked out for several NBA teams, doing all he can to secure a job for next season.

He worked out in Las Vegas for the Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs.

, im all for signing the guy for the min. Need to fill out the roster and SF is still the thinnest position on the roster.

I have a feeling his creepy picture will come into play, regarding whether he gets a contract offer.
