He doesn't shoot as good as Curry, but he shoots good enough and does pretty much everything else better than Curry. No way Hornets would have won 37 games with Curry starting for an injured Paul. Curry put up garbage numbers last season and Collison repeatedly kicked his butt.

Billups and Gay are both good shooters but I can just see the US being down by 1 with 40 seconds left in the FIBA final, and one of them dribbling upcourt and chucking a 3 from five feet behind the line. Both of them need to be cut.
Gordon, Curry, Granger, these guys are all pure shooters. They make the team no matter what.
Durant, Iguodala, and Mayo, these guys are the all-around scorers. They can shoot, slash, and pass. When someone needs to break down the D, these guys need to be there.
Green, Rondo, and Westbrook have no business out there.
Rose isn't that great but he's a one-man fastbreak and I like him, so he's on there.
