One is missing a le![]()
It's funny how these 3 players since 98 have been the only constants and they are all still going hard and elite players. And the biggest thing is they have been on the same team this whole time. How it should be![]()
One is missing a le![]()
Kobe- Shaq o ing neal, Pau Gasol
Duncan- David Robinson, Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker
Dirk- Josh Howard, Jet and Erick Dampier
sad ing story
Fixed
Dirk (and to an extent Nash) wasted half their careers playing Nellie ball. Give some of those teams Phil or Pop, and they probably snatch a ring.
The Dirk-era Mavs have always had great talent, but lacked a great coach.
Kobe had to threaten to leave and he acted like a little in doing so. dont compare him to Tim and Dirk as far is loyalty is concerned.
you don't win 67 games with ty talent![]()
truth is Kobe'd have done the same thing if Gasol was never brought over. unfortunately for Lebron, a scenario like that wasn't possible unless he left.
crucify em, ightpu, send that old drunken ass directly to the tree of woe.
Dirk - Prime Mike Finley, Steve Nash and 57 win teams ..... he's had good, solid players around him
It definitely wasn't ty talent, just not up to par with the Spurs and Lakers championship teams.
Tbh you cannot win in the playoffs with only one star, as Lebron found out. Jumpshooters like Jason Terry and Mo Williams may help you win in the regular season, but its not going to happen in the PO's.
Also coaching matter a lot more in the PO's, and as Mid pointed out the Mavs had Nellie and Avery.
Why did you list a barely borderline all star who couldn't stay in front of Mike Bibby?
yes, yes. Send em right on over!
and lol at prime finley
Either way, Michael Finley and Mavs era Steve Nash hardly competes with prime Shaq and Gasol.
Wasn't like Bibby was on any all defensive teams either ......
from 2000 - 2004, Fin average more than 18 points per game and in three of those seasons over 20. I'd say that's prime
But Dirk didn't hit his prime until 06 so it didn't really matter that Finley was good in 2000.
sons LMAO why the is Dirk included on this list? how in the blue can you compare that flopping, 7ft tall jump shooter with absolutely NO post game whatsoever to Duncan or Kobe??? ... we may as well include Greg Ostertag as well then since after all he did spend a decade in Utah.
damn i thought the old you was dead & gone, but this is still the same dirk hater as before son
Yeah, if those Mav teams had anything resembling a legit big-man who had a decent post game and could provide some interior defense, they probably have a couple rings.
Dirk scored 29 points on 10-22, 8-8 from the line, and grabbed 15 boards in Game 6 of the 06 Finals. Meanwhile, Jason Terry goes 7-25 and J. Ho 5-16.
Dirk's never had that player who could cover up his 6-24 shooting performances, should he have one.
son exactly! if Dirk is allowed in this discussion then Ostertag should be as well.
