These Darwin worshipers are headed to one very rude awakening.
I can just see ruff now trying to sell back his evolution books at the bookstore now.
They will take that petrified boot as proof.Lets say they do find a planet like Earth and it has oxygen water plants etc...
And we drop off a group of people to start a colony/new civilizations after a few generations when do you begin to teach evolution?
At some point the kids in school are going to ask how they got there.
What are you going to say that a spacecraft many years ago landed here from a place called planet Earth were people originally evolved from apes?

Seems simple enough. We believe evolution formed mankind from lower mammals, probably from the same line Apes came from. However, you teach that as theory. Not fact. You teach the fact they their ancestors arrived from a space ship.
Why is that so difficult?

I still believe in intelligent design, that the gods genetically altered us, accelerating evolution.
Considering our star system has up to 4 planets or moons on it that may or may not have life I'm pretty sure they're likely to find planets that are habitable in other star systems as well.
Ok, so if you go to the store to buy fruit, and find the fruit department, do you get discouraged that when you find the fruit department, the cherries you were looking for are not already in your basket?

Ok, once again, no one has said that we evolved from the primates that we see today, but the primates we see today, as well as humans, evolved from a common ancestor.

There are over 2 billion books on the subject half of those in our public schools.
There are 1000's of scientist that support man evolved from ape and another 20 million US citizens that believe man evolved from ape. Where have you been all these years?
A year ago there where 90% of the Club posters bashing the intelligent design people and the bible thumpers, now that new evidence keeps surfacing each day that 90% is now like 2%
Just because it's in a book or internet doesn't make it true.
The best genetic tracings of history we have today have man and ape branching off from a common ancestor a very long time ago. I forget the time-line, but it is long.
There is an ancient Sumarian text that can be seen as higher beings using mankind as slaves. About 60,000 years ago they genetically altered them to make them better slaves. This could explain the "missing ling."
Just some real things out there. I'm not claiming it's true. just a possibility.

Let me break it down a little more simply for you. Lets say your grandma and grandpa (on your mom's side) had 4 kids, and each of them had 2 kids, one of which is you. You wouldn't say that you came from one or more of your 7cousins. However you would say that you came from your grandparents. The premise of the evolution arguement that you are talking about basically puts the primates THAT WE SEE TODAY in the position of our cousins. Different branches of the same tree.
Dang, even WC knows. Even if he doesn't believe that its true (I don't know if you do or not), at least WC is getting the arguement right.

Youre arguing with someone who needs to feel special, that we are direct products of divine creation...because, you know, we couldnt just be animals...dear God, no!
No, we're special because we want and choose to be of a divine lineage.
Some people actually need that validation to separate themselves from the world around them, that this life isnt real or even the end, that there is some truth to life after death.
I, otoh, am more than comfortable with being worm food and nothing more when I die. Some people arent, I guess its two parts indoctrination and one part fear. Safety in numbers, that sort of thing. Thats fine, theyre cool in my book, it is a free country, but dont argue with someone who tries to make evolution sound like a "belief system".
Not recognizing evolution as a truism is the same as doubting mathematics. In their world, its possible that 2+2 doesnt equal 4. Leave them be and hope theyre right in the end, I guess.
