Wasn't he injured? Is he still interested in playing basketball?
He looked out of it last time I recall seeing the guy.
Ya want to stick it to Cuban, Josh?
Come sign with the Spurs.(figured you'd appreciate that particular emoticon
)

He was injured all of last year with the ankle and then tore his knee up with Washington.
But the disinterest could've just been him playing stoned. No biggie.![]()
What now, es haha
About $2.3M, some Obama posters and a good sized bag of weed?
Exactly! I was just kidding man hopefully we do sign him, what do you think?
Great get if he'll play for what the Spurs can pay him. He'd be my first choice of what's left, although the injury thing shouldn't be taken lightly.
if those other teams are just offering the same amount in our ballpark, i see nothing wrong puttin our offer on the table and see if he bites
josh, sign with us if u enjoy kicking some mavs ass in the playoffs.....
I think, talent-wise, he is probably best available. He is just too high risk though. I don't see the Spurs taking that gamble. Injured and stupid are two pretty big red flags.
I'm on the Ronnie Brewer train right now.
do u think we can get brewer for whats left of the mle??
Howard would be a decent gamble if the Spurs re-up Jefferson. If he doesn't work out, they can cut their losses and they'd still have a small forward on the team. If he did work out, then the Spurs would have a solid bench.
He's a legacy, man! Honestly, I don't know, but whoever the Spurs DO get is going to have to want to play here more than they want a paycheck.

knicks big contract watch
So now that butler is gone should we switch our attention to Howard?
"We" meaning posters who think the Spurs are actually pursuing all these players?
Sure.
Good plan.![]()
SpearsNBAYahoo
Wiz agree in principle to sign Josh Howard to a 1year deal paying close to $4 mill w/bonuses, his consultant Derek Lafayette tells Y! Sports
lol, sorry
like I said in the top 30 SF thread, the Spurs are running out of available SF FA. Unless they have some mystery player overseas that no one knows about
so we can forget about Josh Howard as well
Okay, so I wasn't going to tell you guys this, but we're about to sign Eduardo Mingas of the Angola national basketball team.![]()
wow, obviously there wasn't a big market for Howard.
only 1 year and 4 million.
I can see why the Wizards didn't want to give him more years, they will have to find out what direction this team is heading in the next season. but really, there was no team to give him something like MLE for 3 years? I guess this means he is not healthy again and/or in pretty bad shape. and as much as a somehow healthy JH would have helped, a broken down version doesn't help us at all.
in case none noticed:
JH made his comeback last saturday and did look decent in 22 minutes of play, scoring 13 points on 5-9. (in fact, for someone who has been out for 10 months, he looked pretty good)
this is the one thing.
the other fact is, that Lewis just arrived and should take some (most?) of the SF minutes, especially considering Blatche has become the #1 option at PF and will eat most minutes there.
so Howard is healthy and might be available. are we interested?
