Forget about last year?????
Yeah, I know it's August in Texas but by 7pm it's supposed to cool down!
Days like this make me wish I didn't have a lot of outside stuff to take care of.
Forget about last year?????
Who can forget that? It was freakin horrible.
I spent saturday pulling a stump from the ground and sunday in the garage working on my bike, so I know this!!
Well...How hot is it?
We hit 105 in SoCal a couple weeks ago...But it is a dry heat...
The heat has been nothing short of ridiculous, especially cuz I'm walking back and forth across campus all day :P
Actually we have been very lucky this year (deserved after that abortion of a summer last year). I think it hit 104 yesterday, but it has been pretty humid all summer long. The flip side to that humidity is that it has rained a lot which is really nice. It's good when you don't have to go to stage 12 water restrictions where you can't drink water except on odd numbered days if your address ends in an even number.
I just got back from a week in the Washington DC area. They are as hot, if not hotter up there. I was totally expecting to have a nice week long reprieve from the heat.....wrong....
Man, I was out getting some exercise for a couple of hours at
3pm. I don't know what I was thinking. I check the temp when was done and it showed 103.
It will be 82 here today.
you pussys can't take the heat? This has been one of the mildest summers in my 27 years of existence
Argentina and other southern S. America regions are super cold, old people dying in Buenos Aires, etc.
Global warming = climate instability, large swings.

Last weekend here in Washington DC we had a triple digit heat index.
At midnight.
90 degrees at 12 am with a 101 degree HI.
Dewpoint was 77 outside. Freaking ridiculous.
heat index
manny what is that thing anyway?
Get used to it. Because it's going to be hot... It's going to be dry... And it's going to last the rest of your life.
And I can't wait until December when we get the same idiot conservatives who are complaining about the extreme, nationwide summer heat, pointing at routine snowstorms as evidence of a perfectly healthy climate.
, this is nuthin' compared to last year. I feel really bad for all the Northener's getting their asses kicked with the heat. Isn't heat index the temp combined w/humidity that is what the temp feels like?
No one said they couldn't take it, just that it's hot. I agree that it is a pretty mild summer. Still doesn't take away from the fact that when you are pulling a tree stump out of the ground using a shovel, a hatchet and a pick that 104 degree weather might make you sweat.
sounds like you're working hard, not smart
Sounds more to me like I don't have money to rent/buy any equipment that would make this project any easier.
Relative humidity combined with temperature.

Heat index here in New Orleans is supposed to be between 108 and 113 all week. Thank goodness for malls, movie theaters, and central air.
It's hot as here. Hit 104 in college station the other day
Aren't you Texans supposed to be used to that?
Our average summer temp here is supposed to be in the high 80s. This year it's in the lower 90s. Crazy.
It's so hot the corn in fields started popping.
The cows saw it and thought it was snowing-they froze to death.
College Station is in East Texas, further north than San Antonio. It should be cooler than here, maybe not by much, but definitely cooler.
