I know the 2010 2011 NBA schedule is not out yet, but you know they are trying to get MIA in there against Cleveland or LA, in MIA.
i predict nobody cares
Miami Heat @ LA Lakers
Boston Celtics @ Orlando Magic
heat @ BOS
Orlando? @ LAL
My guess Lakers will play not sure who against ...maybe OKC?
i know yall are gonna talk but to the normal laker fans dont you think san antonio and L.A are going to match up great??? its going to be alot more compe ive and fun if you ask me
Whether it's Orlando, Boston, or Miami, the Lakers WILL play a home game on Christmas Day.
I think ABC does this so all of it's employees (producers, camera crews, etc.) don't have to be too far from home on Christmas Day. I'm sure the Lakers don't mind doing Christmas morning w/the kids at home, heading to Staples, then going home after the game to be with their families and/or hoes.
You wanna make a bet, Dunc?
You already seen the Christmas Day game slate, cully?
there will be Foam Fingers!!!
No. Because if I had I wouldn't do that.
Just have a hunch.

It'd a worked better in reverse.
I'm nonplussed.
Maybe Artest won't fall down the stairs this year carrying presents. Once again, Kobe & Co. get to tuck the kids in bed on Christmas Eve.
The Champs deserve to be at home for Christmas.
Remember when the Spurs use to get invited to play the LakeShow on the 25th? The good ole days eh Dunc.
Afore The Boycott I'd a taken a red assin' over that comment, Dunc.![]()
I remember the Xmas Day games with Kobe & Miami Daddy. They were all the rage till Daddy made the peace in the on court pre game stretching. Then Media didn't want anything to do with further.
Russell put Daddy up to that. That .
Did the Spurs ever play at home on Christmas Day when they were the champs? I'm thinkin'.... NO!
Your logic is flawed, as usual.
Boston, the 2008 defending champs, were in LA during Christmas 2008.
It's not about who's champion or not. Christmas games are dictated by time and market share. Well also, what rivalries are hot during Christmas day.
Totally unintentionl Cully. You know I don't beat the "Cully is a child molestor" dead-horse, anymore.
Cue Chris Richards in 3...2...1....
Oh wait, he's probably part of the Mav crew, so we'll probably have to wait until September.
Bull ! It's about if the Lakers are a playoff team, they will get a Christmas Day home game GUARANTEED, because ABC studios are in L.A., so lets keep the employees close to home on Christmas.
If ever a time comes they aren't a playoff team, ABC prays the Clippers are good enough to play on Christmas.
They switched back & forth on Xmas from L.A. & Miami, Dunc, during the Daddy years.
I could understand on Christmas day having the inevitable Heat-Lakers matchup, but couldn't the league have at least thrown the Spurs a bone on opening night? How do the Trail Blazers, Clippers and now Rockets, deserve to be in the Lakers game more than the Spurs?
The Spurs at least have semi recent history with them and are more likely (at least when these games were scheduled) to meet them in the Western Conference Finals. I don't know why the league is so desperate to avoid what should be the best matchup in the West. They'll get their precious ratings either way with the Lakers involved.
