#Celtics appear to be close to signing Shaquille O'Neal. Will have the story up shortly.

Yeah, he should end up with Boston. Nobody else out there that fits the bill.

What do you guys think -- Had the Celtics had Shaq to step in after Perkins went down, how does Game 7 turn out?

Wow their frontcourt seems like overkill against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic especially if Perkins can recover in time for the playoffs. Yeesh.

    Celtics win game 6, champions.

In game 7, even without Perkins, Lakers needed how many free-throws to win by only a few points?

Center Shaquille O'Neal is "close" to signing with the Celtics, according to a source. Comcast Sports New England first broke the story.

Shaq to Celtics likely done either tonight or tomorrow, source says. Shaq to ATL not totally dead, but Diesel most likely joining Celtics.

    It's the 2004 All-Star Team:

    Shaquille O'Neal
    Jermaine O'Neal
    Kevin Garnett
    Paul Pierce
    Ray Allen

Last hurrah written all over them.

Another nice added e--like in (perhaps the Big in?)--to the Celtics/Lakers rivalry.

Moses Malone just found the San Antonio Spurs.

What does that have to do w/ anything? Celtics also completely stomped LA in that series as well. By an embarrassing margin.

    Game 1: +10
    Game 2: +6
    Game 3: +6
    Game 4: +6
    Game 5: +5
    Game 6: +39

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. With exception of the last game, the margin of victory for both teams in the first five contests shows that neither team got stomped.

You think a team missing its defensive anchor and its primary defender at the small forward position (two starters) would get beat more convincingly than they did. The celtic defense is also regarded as being up there with the 2004 detroit pistons. Hmm.
