I know I dont post much, but I've been around awhile...so I'll say this, although it may not be popular, I mostly agree with Leonard. I think it is a mistake not to go after Shaq. I think it would be better to have the guy than not. So the guy doesnt have the best history with the Spurs, even ol' T.O danced on the Dallas Cowboy's star once.
If the guy will help you win a couple of games, and you can keep him away from teams like Boston, or Miami, why wouldnt you do it?
I know people don't care about the Barnes signing with the Lakers, etc. but I just get this feeling that we are going to regret not making these moves and letting these teams "ahead of us" get stronger, if even minutely.
Guys I just dont want to be tied with a team like Boston, in an awesome overtime game with two seconds to go... and Shaq's in there....hasn't done anything all game..but he manages to take that pass..somehow get past Duncan and Splitter, and slam down that winning goal... ...AND we lose yet another close game.
It's just frustrating sometimes..
