Yao is done. Might as well write we were without Rasho.
We were without Lakovič, Nachbar, Jagodnik (and without our quiters E.Lorbek, Bujačič, B.Udrih... and Smodiš).
We were O.K.
Yao is done. Might as well write we were without Rasho.
He will be signed as a foreign player and will not be using a Greek passport or his "Makris" surname. He never served his military commitment for Greece. At one time, he would not travel to Greece with the NT, but somehow he worked it out to go there for the 2008 Olympic qualifier tournament. I think, now, as long as he does not use his Greek citizenship, he is fine playing there.
I remember that game, the greeks were so scared of him, we we're so depleted under the basket that Tusek ended up playing the entire game (40 minutes). We still won though.![]()
Of course not, he is a star now, he doesn't need to hide behind injuries,
now he may demand minutes.
PS: Sorry for late responese, I am back from holidays
PPS: Beno beat my prediction for a whole month - I am getting old...
LMFAO Bourousis is 10 times better than Rasho ever was.
After he got his Greek citizenship he ran away from the country as soon as his time came to serve in the army. So because of this the sports federation won't let Olympiacos count him as a Greek as punishment.![]()
Rasho left Greece when he was 16- hardly time for his military service.
WTF? He left Greece at age 19 as soon as he was called to Greek army.
We play Lithuania tonight @ 20:00 CET. It will be live on TvSlo2

We are getting murdered on the pick&roll. Offensively too little co-operation, just solo actions.
I can do some checking, but IIRC Rasho left PAOK just about as soon as he got his Greek passport; he maybe never even played a game for them or only a few.
You are wrong.
Well, that was horrible. At least they managed to pull themselfs together for a streach towards the end, defensevly and the offense followed.
I didn't expect much anyway, in fact I predicted a maximum difference of 25+ and a 20+ loss.
What a day to be right.![]()
We staaaaaacked!!!!!
We're gonna whoop everyone's ass in WC.
I feel so out of the loop. Are you guys glad about Rasho playing in Greece? Sorry I am dense.
What if anything is different for a player listed as a foreign player? Are there restrictions for how many minutes or what kind of tournaments he can play?
I don't know nearly as much about European basketball as I would like, so anything all of you could teach me would be appreciated.
Well, I just hope Rasho is satisfied with his decision. If suits him, suits me as well.
I am just sorry he has retired from our NT.
The number of foreign players playing for the team is limited. If they give greek citizenship to foreign players, they can sign more of them.
