I am trying to figure out the phenom.
Is this good music to people? At 32, i dont really get it..other than she looks to try and rip Madonna off, trying to be controversial, and asexual...etc...
She is pretty hot at times, other times she looks almost scary.
The music is meh...reminds me of what would come out of a music robot created by a big company, if there were such a thing...
anyway, what is your take on Lady Gaga?? Do you like her? Do your kids like her? Do you let your kids listen to her?

I think its great. Pop music isn't for everyone but I enjoy it.
Indifferent. Don't listen to her music, but no particular dislike for her either.
I have a friend named Alejandro, Alex for short...i LOL when i hear that song as i just picture him rockin out to it....

She's nothing really trendsetting but she's good. She's got chops on the piano. Very expressive in her theatrics and costumes no matter how weird they are. Just a girl from The Big Apple having fun. I was going to see her show but I wasn't dishing out no $100 to.
She's also better than Kesha and her talksinging
I don't find her attactive at all--musically or physicially. I hate techno and electronic beats, no matter how good they are. I make very few exceptions. Her music is too contemporary for me to like it.
With regards to her body. Her waist is too small or her hips too big is too big. Just not my cup of tea. Her sense of style says nothing except she wants to be outlandish and futuristic. I don't enjoy looking at her.
I am annoyed by her fame. If she was simply a tabloid thing I would be okay. But she's on every radio station of pop hits so it's difficult not to hear the praise or the music. If she's ahead of her time I don't get it.

That's like saying a station wagon "is fast for a late 70s car". Even if it is, that still doesn't mean much.
I don't find much depth to her lyrics, and her music videos, while entertaining, just highlight that her songs are basically only structured around a catchy hook, and little else.
I'm in no way a "fan", but let's just say when I hear one of her songs on the radio I can't help but listen. It's just too damn catchy

I'm sure I've heard a Lady GaGa song in the background somewhere, but I've never heard her music and known it was hers. I know she has a fairly popular song called Telephone or some such . The only other thing I know (about her) is that the rumor she has a penis is false.

I think it's because this is the internet/youtube generation. her bad romance video on youtube has an insane amount of views, and I would suspect its the same teenagers watching it over and over or someone cheated with a bot to raise the view count. I can imagine her manager arranging to pay someone to artificially raise her views
then its just a matter of little kids joining the bandwagon

She's fantastic. I think she'd probably annoy me in concert (I hear she does a lot of preaching) but her music is great and she's completely re-energized the music video industry.

LOL @ it being Blasphemy that she got more nominations than MJ. They boy make (made) pop music. Lady Gaga is on par with Madonna and MJ's efforts in the past. We'll see if she has the staying power.
The music is good but people need to quit giving attention s attention. That's the entertainment industry though.
