lol implying golf is a sport
Jesus ing Christ.
The general sports fan........happy?
lol implying golf is a sport
Ding, ding, ding, ding.a lot more fun to watch because everyone had vested interest in an athlete they had followed his whole career.
That's the issue. I cared about golf before Tiger. I liked athletes before Tiger. But party because of my age and partly because of the longevity that golf affords its professionals, Tiger was the first superstar athlete I became cognizant of at the start of and through the entirety of his career. Vested interest is exactly right. We all witnessed Tiger's origins, all had a long time with Tiger's greatness and we all were expecting more time. I don't know if Tigers been good for golf or not and I don't really care. I just know it's been a of a lot of fun watching the guy's career unfold and I'm saddened that it's stalled and I hope he gets it back on the rails.
No one's fault but tiger's. What a dumbass. With his money, he should have been able to keep this secret.
I bet you could pick up a basketball and make a couple shots. I bet you could throw a nice spiral. I bet you can catch a baseball.
But I bet if you tried every day for the next year, you'd have a of a hard time hitting a one inch wide ball into a three inch wide cup, 250 yards away, in 4 swings, with a three inch wide piece of metal.
True. But he's great and I think he'll be back.
100%
But I'll add that in my opinion he's been good for golf because he's brought notoriety to an otherwise niche sport. He's grown the popularity of the sport (just look at how many courses popped up after he started as well as trying to get tee times after he started). Finally, he's given everyone someone to root for in the sport (prior to the whole 20 s thing).
I don't think it's possible to keep 20 different s a secret even with a billion dollars. Technology makes it rough on a dude trying to bang someone other than his wife.
You only say that because you suck ass at it.
The problem with golfers now is they try to shape the path of the ball too much now, when they should be focused on hitting the ball straight; and trying to land the ball on the green near the hole.
Great logic, because I can't do it makes it a sport. If I trained at Beer Pong for the next year I still wouldn't be able to do it, does that make it a sport?
Ok, explain to me why it isn't a sport. What is a sport by Muser's definition.
Woods is the guy resp. for his own .
back when all this was starting to come out, i said this was ruin Woods' career and he would never be close to the same golfer after. a bunch of Tiger nut huggers thought i was crazy, but it's starting to look like a good prediction now.
No one is arguing that point...........however, I still think his game will come back.
Standing still and hitting a ball with a club is a sport? Where the most movement you do is swing your arm back? I'm not saying it doesn't take skill it obviously takes a large degree of skill.
It is a sport because it requires athletic co-ordination, both hand-eye and total body. It requires concentration. It requires athleticism. It requires fitness. It is a compe ion.
And before you tell me that fat slobs play golf, well, that doesn't mean they're not athletes. John Daly was an All-State high school football player. The average professional golfer's reflexes and muscle co-ordination is so far and away above that of the average person, it isn't even funny. So don't tell us it isn't a sport because there is no running involved.
Tiger woods wife owes tiger nothing. She didn't make Tiger marry her, it was his contractual agreement to stay faithful to him, for all we can guess, she kept her end of the bargain while Tiger obviously didn't.
His wife is an individual and is not compelled to sacrifice her honor for the game of Golf.
Balli needs to get beat senselessly for his stupidity.
Would you class Darts as a sport then?
You might as well come out and say, "I've never played golf", because your post screams it.
<sigh> here we go....
He's played golf...he went to a driving range.
And stood still while only moving his arm back.
Seems standard for a course of that quality. I got to play many courses in my younger 20s that I should never have been on through connections. I loved playing at the better courses in town but yeah - the green fees.
I played the course that Kobe was staying in the lodge of when he didn't rape that girl. That's probably the nicest course I've played.
You can ALWAYS find deals........you just have to know where to look.
Of course if Elin was Tiger's dog you'd probably be supporting her 110%
Balli, your anger scares me. I'm not even kidding. If I had to vote a ST member most likely to snap you would come in 2nd only because Big Zak has chemical imbalances that are for the record books.
