Morton's. Fleming's. The Palm.
Don't say Ruth Chris cause it's not very good there. The cut of meat looked great but the flavor was very under whelming for all 4 of us at the table. Their appetizer though was the best I've ever had(some shrimp in creole rouge sauce).
Need something at that price point or less. What would you recommend?
Morton's. Fleming's. The Palm.
The ruths Chris on jones maltsberger is legendary. U should give it another try
I always thought Mortons was more expensive than CR and they had some sort of dress code. I just don't want to go to a place where I have to wear a sport coat/blazer. Heard of Flemings to, I'll look them up. Haven't heard of the Palm though. I'd rather not go to the river walk if that's possible. Thanks
I know a lot of folks will say ugh to The Saltgrass, but I've always had delicious steak and great service there. They have good appetizers too. I've only been to the one on 281 at Thousand Oaks.
That location is better than most fancy steakhouses in the city. That's where we always go.
I agree, it's always been great there but I would like to try a new place I haven't been.
I've gotten steaks there I could cut with a fork. I really like Saltgrass.
never tried saltgrass. I'm gonna try it out.
Maybe Fleming's.
Skip the steakhouse, spend $70 on two nice slabs of dry aged beef from Central Market or Whole Foods instead. Salt, pepper, olive oil.
That's what I'am thinking. Mortons has a dress code and is uptight. Flemings location is nice plus from their site, it looks great. No dress code but a really nice place.
Kirby's Steakhouse is legit...
Damn you had to bring them up. Lot more casual, live music on the day I'd like to go.
How was the wine list, how did you enjoy this place?
I can't speak to the Fleming's in SA, but the one in Salt Lake is great. Never had anything there but incredible food and service.
I too, have been underwhelmed by Ruth's Chris.
That's what I'am thinking but it seems they cook their steaks the same was as Ruth Chris, but if you've been to both and enjoyed Flemings with not enjoying RC so much... that's a better review.
Ounce- you might run into a Spur.

Totunga meat, can't be beat!!!
As a disclaimer. I got a buddy who cooks at Fleming's, so I might've been getting a better experience than that of an unaffiliated diner.
I've always heard good things about Bohanan's.

This, cook it yourself and get it the way you want it. Although it is nice to once in awhile to go out and get a nice steak. I usually disappointed though.
Bohanan's on Houston if you really want a nice dinner.
I'm going to have to check that place out next time I'm in SA - I've never has Akaushi Beef before.
